I was born in the old Shackleford Hospital in Martinsville, VA and grew up on Irisburg Road in the Beckham Church community of southeastern Henry County, Virginia. I moved away from Henry County after graduating from Drewry Mason High School in 1960. About 1989 I got interested in genealogy and "dabble" in it from time to time. I'm now retired and enjoy my family and friends, working in my yard, golf, horse racing, and my wife and I do a little traveling.
