Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, folks!
I like to share the photos and data from my research with others, obviously, but I go to great expense with time and travel to obtain much of this, and I own many of the portrait photos, including original tintypes.

For this reason, I ask you for the courtesy of leaving my name attached as the original source of the material. When others view YOUR posting of my images and research on Ancestry or elsewhere they often want to contact the person who owns the image or did the research at the archives and other repositories. I can't help folks who can't reach me.
Cheers! Nancy

Mitchell and Mitchell
Hi Nancy,
Do you mean William Jones Mitchell (1818-1895) and Mary Mitchell (1817-1896)? They are my 2nd great grandparents. Both were born in Gwinear, Cornwall. They sailed out of St. Ives (7 Apr 1842), arriving (23 June 1842) at Lewiston NY. I've been in Gwinear and found a Mitchell headstone used as a faucet splash-pad.

Geo & Nettie POQUETTE
Hi Nancy,
I think you are my 3rd cousin, once removed. I am assuming that Raymond Glen Poquette is your father. Am I correct? Glen is my 3rd cousin.
Nettie G Mitchell is my 1st cousin, twice removed. Her father, Thomas Ward Mitchell is my great granduncle. Thomas's brother, Richard John is my great grandfather.
I've filled in some gaps for you.
Thanks for filling in gaps for me.
I'm a bit new to Find-a-Grave.

Washburn Family
Have you done your DNA? I would like to share information with you on the Washburn family to prove they go back to the Mayflower.

RE: Robert McNary
Also, Sarah Meeks McNary, wife of Robert, was left a legacy by her father in 1838, which would also conflict with the other supposed pairing.

McNary Erro
Hi there. Regarding this link:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=72936618

It was posted: "Robert married Catherine Delano Alloways" and also "Robert McNary, married and had 3 daughters, Coshocton, OH. Trace of descendants lost."

People keep perpetuating the error that the Robert that married Catherine Delano Alloways was the missing Robert who was in Coshochton. I'm descended from the latter. My Robert was born in WV, the other Robert was born in Canonsburg, PA as per the Highland County, Ohio biography.

Robert married Sarah Meek in Brooke County, WV in 1827. They ended up in Coshochton, where my ancestor Susan was born. I don't know what happened to Robert, but by 1840, Sarah and family were back in Brooke County, WV. By 1850, she and her family moved to Washington County, PA, where they stayed. Her gravestone says to the memory of my husband Robert.

There was an issue with land owned by Robert in Coshochton in 1836. They could not find him, and I'm assuming he died and that's why Sarah went back home (to Brooke County).

Robert and Catherine's children were born 1835-1847. My Susan was born 1828, and Sarah her mother and Robert's wife from Brooke County was alive until 1880, so Robert/Catherine Delena can't be the right couple.

Glad to provide picture of headstone, etc. I also have the land record.

Earlson Russell Carter Correction
Thank you for the correction, I had his birth as Oklahoma, but I listed it wrong. Earlson was by mother-in-law 3rd husband. Sorry for the mistake and thank you for correcting it. I could not list the city Rolla, it was not listed as under Texas Co, OK.
