Bio

I got interested in my genealogy after I did some restoration on the Chapin plot.

Samuel Chapin ( in the plot ) was my three times great grandfather. Samuel was a Veteran of the Revolutionary and War of 1812.
Samuel's son James Corse, my twice great. I have yet to locate him or his death date.
James Corse's son Walter, my great.
Walter's son Frank, my grand. Walter was in the Civil War.
Frank's son Clayton, my father.

I have finished plotting the Oquawka Cemetery.
I have almost 3900 burials in a data base by plot number.
I can find any burial in a very short time now.
Some stones that were there in 1980, I can not find now.
If you need help finding someone, just let me know, I can help with that.

When ever possible I put the plot number in my memorials. I know this does most people no good, but it does help me locate them. There is no online map to the cemetery and until this year there was no map of what is called the West Addition. I made one. The cemetery association now has one and I have the original.

Thank you in advance for transferring any memorials to me.
It's nice to get them under one roof,so to speak.

If I can help you in any way, just ask and I'll try.
And any help you can give will be greatly appreciated,
Ron
