I am very interested in geneology, but most of our family is on the east coast. We would like to help others find their ancestors in central Illinois. My husband Wayne goes with me so we have an extra set of eyes. Feel free to use pictures on Ancestry.com or wherever you like..that's why we do this :)|
I will be happy to transfer any memorials that I have made in Illinois as they are not related to us. Please use the edit tab to do so. Please be patient, I don't always see them right away. Best wishes to all!!
If you have time, please visit my siblings and Mom and Dad. Thanks so much, Connie

One more note. Kenny Klotz was "famous" as a great farm auctioneer in this part of Illinois (Kendall and DeKalb Counties and edges of others.) I remember him from the time I was 10. His auctions were always good. I don't know a lot about his relatives but I live where I should be able to find out things if you think you might be related, etc. Just let me know. Kristy

Thanks, Connie. I do some bits for Find A Grave -- but not enough to know all the ins and outs. Since I wrote to you (thinking you were 'really' connected as you guessed) I found about three obits on that same website page for the same family. They may be worth adding too. Thanks for taking on this task. Hope it doesn't prove to be too time consuming. Kristy

I stumbled on the following news article that I thought might interest readers of the Greenview-Elmwood Cemetery in Menard County, Illinois:
Mr. Marbold is arranging to complete a public cemetery for the use of the townspeople, as Greenview now has no cemetery and all interments must take place at Petersburg or at Sweetwater. Eight acres of excellent land are to be set apart for this purpose and already Mr. Marbold has erected a gateway of stone and concrete to be used as an entrance to this place of burial.
That is all that was published on Menard Co, IL, Genealogy Trails. Perhaps more can be found, then, or at a later date, but I am not sure of that.
The original source was the "Decatur Daly Review" of Friday, August 4, 1905.
Kristy Lawrie Gravlin, Plano, Illinois. (I have no
connection to Menard County or this cemetery.)

|Traci's Mom||Traci Fields|
Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends, Traci now has 5,260 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is a little over a week away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We appreciate you all so much.
I'm in awe! To show you more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,
"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have known".
Traci was a person of strong faith, and GOD took excellent care of her, and helped her through all her hardships! Her faith never waivered.
GOD, bless them all, and thank you for your wonderful gift of Traci.
We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. I will try to get to everyone's site and leave a flower/token for at least one of their loved ones. However, there are so many of you, it will take me a while.
Sharon (Traci's mom)

|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Connie, thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter, Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
