Found this site a few years ago looking for markers of famous people and historical figures. Looked for ancestors in the non-famous section, and started adding pictures and memorials. I keep my family under a separate, anonymous bio for privacy reasons.

I almost never move, let alone remove, flowers or other items people have placed on/near markers, just out of respect for whoever placed them and whatever relationship they may have had with the person in the grave. Occasionally, I will move a temporary item to get a better shot at the info, but I replace it. If you're looking at one of my memorials/photos and you have a correction or addition, please send it along. Sometimes I'm a bit slow getting to them, but I do get to them. As far as transfers go, please keep the requests to family or very close friends, otherwise, just ask. The only things I ask in return are that any photos I've posted remain, and that any information I've posted remain unless corrected/supplemented. SEE UPDATE BELOW.

Every one of these markers represents a life that has, to someone, somewhere, a story. If posting these helps someone remember or tell the story better, it's been worth it.

An update on "corrections" and transfer requests. Though it has been some time (other parts of life intervened) I have taken the time to go to the cemeteries, take the photos, prepare the memorials, and enter the data. There will most likely be a time when I do it again. It is beyond insulting to have someone "request" (in actuality, demand) a correction on trivia--quotes on a nickname come to mind, then get indignant when I dare to say no. I've received a number of these lately. I then went to their bio to find (1) the "bio" consists of a string of quotes and comments about rules and sarcastic comments about "gathering" relatives, and (2) the person doesn't accept messages. If they've run out of obits to harvest, maybe they should take a break instead of policing the sincere efforts of others. I have no time for people of that ilk, and hope they find a life before it's too late. Most of those who have submitted corrections know I rarely resist. Don't waste my time with non-issues. As for transfers, I have made a simple request in the past. Most respect it. Some don't. Again, I don't harvest the obituaries to get numbers up--I have actually gone to nearly all of the memorials I've entered and done the work. If someone doesn't have enough decency/courtesy to appreciate that, it will be the first, last, and only time I transfer something to them.
