Bio

I am a Georgia Tann adoptee who has searched for over 50+ years for my Birth Parents. In August 2011, with the help of Carolyn Whitaker, I found my birth Mother. I have since joined Ancestry and taken a DNA test hoping to find my Birth Father, who at some point in 1946-1947 was in Memphis, Tennessee where I was born. My Mother (Frances Pauline Herring Robinette) died in 1981. I am still searching. My birth name was Herring (Mother's maiden name)no Father listed. My tree on Ancestry is now private as I have many DNA clues to my POSSIBLE birth Father. I believe he may have been a Powell from Mississippi (a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp?). I am interested in Herring as well as Siskie/Siskey; Leahey; Phillips; Rumley; Leach & others. I believe Find A Grave provides a wonderful service to all who have ancestors who should be recognized.
