I am happy to help...those are sweet memories you have. sorry it took so long but I had dental surgery and they wouldn't let me drive for almost 2 weeks.

Joe: Not sure were your roots originate but for myself I was able to find mine in genealogy writings of the New England States. Historical Societies as well along with Soldiers and Sailors of the state who served during ////war.

RE: Perniza Oliver Shannon #25081135
Joe, I did transfer her to you. She is a relative, but distant, as Shannon is my research name. I had intended to go look at the headstone, as I live near it. The dates I had are the ones you have, so I wanted to actually look at the stone. Are you near?

RE: Rebecca Catherine Black 1832-1885
Joe,

I'm trying to get help with this problem. There was a problem with a merge somewhere, however if you click on the link for the memorial that no longer exists for Rebecca from A.G.'s memorial, it says it has been merged...but when you "click here" it takes you to another memorial number that also states it was merged, then when you "click here" on that memorial it circles back. Neither one of those memorials has been merged into one that I created. I don't know if one of those was a burial unknown at one time and that is creating the problem or what. Deleting my memorial will not get rid of the "ghost link" for Rebecca's memorial that has been merged.

Anyway, just want you update you that I'm trying to get this all resolved. When the ghost link is removed from A.G.'s memorial and the merged ones are fixed somehow, I'll transfer to you the one that I created to manage. Stay tuned.

RE: Rebecca Catherine Black 1832-1885
Joe,

Did the memorial that you created for her have a headstone photo? What about any information in the bio? If so, I don't understand why that wasn't merged.

From what I have been reading in the help forum, this may be an instance where someone created a duplicate Lewis cemetery and they may have merged the memorials in both cemeteries together. You'd have to contact FindAGrave to find out for sure what happened. I know that they can look up everything that has been done to a memorial from the time it was created and can tell you exactly what was done. It appears that the memorial for the one you had was memorial # 36226899

I'd be interested in hearing what you find out. I never know quite how things work behind the scenes. (-;

Btw, I'm not related and would be happy to transfer to you, but would like to know why FindAGrave merged them.

Hi Joe,

I'm not sure how this happened. I didn't request it. Do you happen to know the original memorial number for her?
