Done. Please use the edit tab in the future---it is so much easier for both of us.

RE: R. Bean Huff and wife Sarah
Thank you so much for taking over management of these memorials. Husband health problems are my primary concern now thus my time with Find A Grave is limited to almost non-existent. If I have others that are your lines, please let me know and I will be glad to transfer.

William Haden Allen
I'm afraid my note to you was too long; it all "dropped off". Here's what I found out: you are correct. I found William Haden Allen's WWI draft card, listing Martha Gudgel, Madill, OK as his closest relative. Martha is his mother who remarried after his father d.1891. I think she is listed on the 1900 Census as Wm's wife, "Martha J", his mother's name. Her Find A Grave#41001651 will explain some of it. I've written an edit to the person who cares for William H Allen's memorial to let her know that I had the wrong name & DOB & gave her the correct info. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I've been up all nite but it's been worth it, as I finally figured it out. Now I have some cats to feed & then I'm going to sleep. Good nite & thanks again. William Haden Allen
I read your note and decided that I'd better do some research; you were right. I looked in and came across a draft reg.card for WWI for William Haden Allen. Closest relative was Martha Gudgel in Madill, OK. Wm was living in Fannin Co., TX. I then came across Jessie's 1910 census, which didn't show what I wanted, showed "W H"'s year of birth as 1867, place of birth, Tennessee. His wife was shown as Samantha J. (Jane?), b.1864, Arkansas. Jessie & his brother Clarence, age 21, were in the home. I was really interested in the census from 1900, though. It was taken on Jun 20, 1900 at Quinlan village, Hunt Co., TX. William H. was a farmer b.Sept 1862 in Tenn. His wife was shown as Martha J.(Jane?)Allen, b.Oct 1862. Three children were in the home, the oldest being Sophia A., b.July, 1887 in TX. Clarance T., was b.Feb.1889 in TX. They were both "in school". Last was Jessie D., b.Apr 1894. Added by Kathie L. Webb Blair on Jan 27, 2013 5:37 AM
