Bio and Links
Bio Photo I moved to North-Central Kansas in late 2008, which gave me a whole new starting place for family history research! My grandmother Elsa Opal Long Vandecar (1896-1996) was the family historian, and for the last 20 years or so I've been trying to continue her legacy.

You are welcome to copy any of my gravestone photos onto other genealogy or family history websites; no need to credit me. Helping other family historians by gathering those photos is my way of paying forward all the help I've received!

Anna Shara Moravek
Thanks for posting the Belleville Telescope obituary for Anna Shara Moravek. I believe, though, that the date of that obit is Jan 3, 1946, not 1945. She died in December of 1945, as indicated in the correct death date that you have listed. Thanks again for sharing the information.

Martin Ludvig Larson
Dear SJ Oregon,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History of the 89th Division, Martin Larson was awarded the a Citation and Commendation from the general of the Division for actions performed on 10/20-10/21/1918.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but want to eventually publish something. Would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of Martin Ludvig Larson (Find A Grave Memorial# 41536917) should I eventually publish something?

Thank you,

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

RE: Charles G. Fulton
Dear SJ,

Yes, since you offered, I would like to get a higher resolution photograph. The one on findagrave is a little grainy.

Thank you!

Charles G. Fulton
Dear SJ Oregon,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, Charles G. Fulton was a member of my grandfather's unit, at least at one time. His gravestone however says he was part of the 353rd, which is confirmed by the History of the 89th Division. So, there's a discrepancy. When in doubt, I like to include the soldier.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but want to eventually publish something. Would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of Charles G. Fulton (Find A Grave Memorial# 107599880) should I eventually publish something?

Thank you,

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

Thanks for looking. Someone has "David Wait" in the same cemetery with a tombstone pic. What I am wondering is if it should be spelled, "Wait".

RE: Harry/Harvey Wade #126703129
Thank you... After I looked at this I decided his name really was Harvey and Harry was probably a typo, so I changed it to Harvey. When I tried to look up his parents, I realized there already was a memorial for Harvey, # 17346026, so I sent my obit to the other page manager and am going to have to delete my entry. Crazy! BD
