RE: Hiram & Hannah Strong (Brooks) Fountain
The cemetery records have the following information:
Hiram born May 1, 1807, died March 16, 1873
Hannah born Oct 4, 1803, died May 13, 1879
I hope to get back up there next week, right now Nashua and surrounding areas has been experiencing extensive flooding so it is difficult to get there at the current time.

Next time I am at Oak Hill I will try to get a running of the stones to see if I can pick up more info. Much is very warm away.

Sorry, I do have the obit, but got caught up in some other things and just have not posted the info. Ruth Kendall McCarthy is a cousin. Her grand mother and my 2nd great grandmother were sisters, maiden name of Beal. Thanks for all the info you have sent and I will get to adding the info this week. Sometimes I have found more info on my family from their friends, so appreciate your help. Thanks.

RE: James Forrest Birth year
I've been unable to determine the relationship between James Forrest and Mayberry Forrest. The 1860 census is the earliest I found for Mayberry, and he is a single boarder.

The C is only used onetime for James's middle initial. It may have been an error. Only used on the 1920 census.

RE: James Forrest Birth year
Yes, that is their son. He was born on 1 Apr 1890 in Ellswroth, Kansas, according to his WWI draft registration form. For the father, James Forrest, the 1900 census has Oct 1844 as his birth month and year.

Thanks for everything you've done on this!

I got the date from the stone. I blew up the picture and it certainly looks like 1858 to me. That however is my ONLY reference, and although not horrible, it is not extremely easy to read. I will make note in the bio of your thoughts. - Gene

Jerry Coleman
Hello,
I descend from Jerry Coleman's sister, Martha Ann COLEMAN Scott, my 2nd gr. grandmother. I noticed you have a virtual Coleman cemetery, do you descend from the Coleman and if so how? Just today I found obituaries for George A Coleman and Susan Cornwell. I have added George's to his memorial. I continue searching for parents, William and Mary BLAKEMAN Coleman, I believe they both died in Edgar County, Illinois and are buried there. I live about 1 1/2 hrs. away and I may take a drive to the courthouse to see where they are buried.

I understand F.A.G. guidelines about transfers, would you consider transferring Jerry Coleman's memorial to me please? If you descend or would rather not, I understand. Please respond if you are a descendant, I would like to correspond. If you don't mind, please use my personal email on my Contributor page.
Thank you, Greg (#46932209)
