Oh I cannot wait to see if u can find photos
Thank you for all the memorials on the cannons. You have in memory of grandma. So you and I are 5th cousins. Example Lucius Cannon is my 3rd Cousin, his dad Willis is my second cousin and his dad Stephen is my 1st cousin and his dad John Carnahan Jr is my 4th grand uncle and his dad John Carnahan Sr is my 5th great grandfather.
So which one is your grandmother.
son of Dale Cannon
grandson of Carl Perry Cannon
Great Grandson of James Franklin Cannon
great great grandson of James Sylvester Cannon
and 3rd great grandson of Sylvester Cannon and 4th great grandson of Nathan Carnahan Cannon etc

|Brien Gibson||Ezekial Brown Memorial|
I came a little late to the Brown genealogy party, and I have been struggling with where my 2nd great grandfather came from. After seeing the information you have provided about Ezekial Brown, I think I may have a breakthrough.
My 2nd great grandfather was James M. Brown, born ca. 1821 in presumably Eaton, Madison Co., N.Y. After his wife Ann died ca. 1854, he and the children moved to Stephenson Co., Illinois ca. 1855 where he married his second wife Lydia M. Lake.
James and family then moved to Bourbon Co., Kansas ca. 1860 where Lydia died ca. 1875. James then married Harriet J. (Pilcher) Tatman in 1877 and moved to the Quincy, Illinois area on or before 1880. He disappears after 1880 but a lot of the children can be traced. His son Chad is buried in the Pleasant View (Large) Cemetery in Godfrey, Bourbon Co., Kansas.
Considering James' move across the country is almost identical to Ezekial's, I believe James is related somehow. Perhaps he is an older son of Ezekial or John Healy Brown.
Thanks for the invaluable information. I was planning on using an interlibrary loan for Ft. Scott newspapers on microfilm, and your obit confirms I'm on the right track.
I have asked for a change in the memorial for one Evelyn Laws Goff 74003557 made by Gene Ewert and buried in the Neodesha City Cemetery 1st Addition, Block 3, Lot 714, Space 1. Daughter of Robert M. Laws & Maude Barnes. Asked Gene to add her father to the memorial.
