I believe he may not be the only direct ancestor who served in the Revolutionary War since family on my mother's side also arrived with the earliest ancestors in the 1600s. It's exciting to search, but not easy to prove. I'm hard at work doing just that.

I remember how thrilled I was when I found the head stone picture for Reuben Stearns on this site. That's when I decided that I wanted to help others by taking pictures of head stones and posting them in the cemetery listings posted here.

There are many very old cemeteries around me, but I sometimes feel uncomfortable in a graveyard, so may not upload as often as I would like to.
