How I got started looking for family history, my oldest brother revealed to me last year (2010) at our parents 50th anniversary that he didn't have any family pictures. So, that got me thinking... I decided to make a family scrapbook (computerized) for him. My Dad had already complied his side of the family tree but my Mom's side, she didn't have much. She says her family were Finnish and they weren't very good historians for family information. I have found a lot on Ancestry.com and from others who have posted their family trees. With what little we had and what they have, I have be able to get the information to complete my project for my brother. And of course, I am also going to make copies for my children and other family members.
