Bio

I've been doing research since 1984 when it was done with typewriter, snail mail and lots of time consuming looking through microfiche and microfilm. My father's lines are mainly in SC, NC and even back to 1600's in MA. Some of his ancestors are Reynolds, Fields, Alexander, Crosswell, Amerson, Kennedy, Atkinson, Mims, Huggins, Roundtree, DuBose, Couillandeau, Fougeraut, Severans, Kimball, Scott, Sinclair, White, Murrell and etc. mainly around the Darlington, Sumter, Lee and Kershaw Counties of SC. My mother's lines are in PA, NJ, DE, MD and early MA. Some of her lines are Pullen, Valentine, Williams, Haines, Stiddem, Springer, VanDevere, Morton, Lyons, Crossman, Truman, Talley, Grubb and etc. I'm also searching lines for my husband of Nesbit/Nesbitt, Postlethwaite, Weiss, Kunkle, Bowers, Zinn, Campbell, Dickson, McHenry, Wright, Means, Scudder and etc. in mainly PA, VA, KY, NJ and MA. I'm also participating in Reynolds, Nesbitt and Pullen Family Tree DNA projects.
I previously was Extension Home Economist for Indiana Co., PA (under Penn State) and Maricopa Co., AZ (Under U of A). I've done spinning, many kinds of weaving and basketry and taught classes and workshps of such as well as exhibited in shows and museums and sold items in shops and galleries in Scottsdale and Carefree, AZ. I've worked in family business since 1978 and we also built our own compressed air foam wild land fire fighting truck in 1995. We are still doing that. My husband also restores and builds wagons that he pulls with Haflinger horses. We have been in the 2006 and 2009 Rose Parades as well as many other parades including the Swallows Parades in San Juan Capistrano and Light Up parades in Pittsburgh, PA. It looks like I will never be able to retire and tracking down ancestors is a great way to keep my sanity.
