Bio

Descended from F.M. (Francis Marion) Dyson who was born in Morgan County, Ohio, raised in Appanoose County, Iowa, and disappeared from Pawnee County, Nebraska after July 1890 - may have been hijacked & killed during a cattle drive to/from Kansas City.

My family tree includes: Pastian, Thompson, Reichert, Stapleton, Larson, Cummins, Iszler (Ißler), Meckler, Leeper, Oswald, Honeyman (Hannemann), Claycomb and Lanman.

Suggestion to anyone taking photos of grave markers at Black Hills National Cemetery would be to time your visit with the position of the sun (there are apps for that):

143º for the Columbariums & Section D
233º for the vast majority of sections
253º for Section K

This lessens the chance for dark, shady exposures and helps to ensure a bright, brilliant photo. They're service members for Christ sake; do a good fucking job!

Furthermore, all photos posted are free to use.
