|Sharla||RE: Thank you|
You are welcome and when I have time I will get more memorials transferred to you from Prescott National Cemetery. With my job I don't have much time to work on the site. Haven't replied to all your posts so I say THANK YOU! I pray you get well quickly...

Thank you for the record of Alma. She was my great aunt by marriage and I knew nothing about her or my Uncle Edward McNiece until very recently. Although his niece, my Mother, told us almost nothing about them or the other siblings, Edward left his estate her her when he died. Thanks especially for the picture of the house. I have letters written by Edward's mother [Laura] in the 1930's when she stayed with them at a farmhouse on a RR. It probably does not exist now but it was full of cactus and chickens!!!

|Kathy Hoyt||Lauretta White Milnor|
LeRoy, I am the ggranddaughter of William King White, born 1834 (unproven) in King's Salt Works, VA. I am trying to find out who his parents were. The 1850 census of Washington CO. Va. shows a William King, age 14 living in the household of William P Milnor, his wife, Laura, and Ann White, age 55. Perhaps Ann is Laura's mother and William is her brother. Do you have any info on this family?
A real brick wall!

Thank you for the death certificate information. I added a link for his AZ death certificate to his memorial.
Take care, Pat

|Karol Kipp||Christine M. Thomsen|
My Grandmothers last name is Thomsen (Danish spelling) not Thompson. She is #125035151. Her obit is:
Christine Martha Kristensen Thomsen, 89, died Sunday, June 28, 1961, at Yavapai Community Hospital. Born in Odense, Denmark, Nov. 3, 1891, Mrs. Thomsen came to the United States when she was 20, although she did not speak a word of English. She went to work for a family friend in Iowa who taught her English and advised her to change her maiden name to the English spelling of Christiansen.
She met a fellow Dane, Lars C. Thomsen, when they were working the wheat fields in Montana, and they married on Sept. 16, 1916. They worked a farm in Anita, Iowa and later in Sheffield, Illinois, where they raised their three children. The family were members of the Danish Lutheran Church in Sheffield, Ill. After the kids were grown, Lars & Christine divorced and she moved to Champaign, Ill. where she was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge and loving housekeeper for The Dickersons.
Mrs. Thomsen moved to Phoenix in 1971, and then to Prescott, Arizona for her final two years. She is survived by her daughter Doris Denby of Prescott, AZ; Violet Boswell of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Sgt. Norman “Tommy” Thomsen. She will be interred in the Rose Garden section of the Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott, Az.
|Karol Kipp||Adding obituary|
If I send you an obituary (word document) for my Grandmother Christine M. Thomsen, could you add it to the memorial? (Is this something I could do myself - if so, I don't know how.)
