Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a wife, mother of three, grandmother of ten.

My passions in life are my family, genealogy,
gardening,and writing.

I started climbing my family tree when I was twelve, and haven't stopped yet!

I have enjoyed taking some "roots vacations" to
Illinois and Pennsylvania. Genealogy naturally leads you to the world of history. I enjoy American History very much.

Many of my ancestors came to America for religious reasons. I have traced them through
just about every war that America has taken part in.

I have taught genealogy classes in my church.
And I often help friends and neighbors with their research.

"Turning Hearts" comes from the last verse in The Old Testament, Malachi 4: 6.

I am very appreciative of my husband's understanding of this great work! is one of my very favorite websites.

Glad, you enjoyed the photo. West Point is a special place. I've worked here for 20 years, and never get tired of it. I usually walk the grounds of the cemetery once a week. They are not forgotten!
thanks for the kind note.

George Edgar Shipe Memorial# 119614252
Hi Turninghearts
I see that you left a tribute to George's Memorial.
Do you happen to be a descendent of George Shipe or the Shipe's?
Regards John

Regarding Joseph & Elizabeth Garnsey, if you check the captions on each of the photos, you will see that I noted that the stones are in the Old cemetery. I also sent SACs on each to the owner of the memorials. The suggested corrections were offered in April 2013, and were subsequently submitted to FindAGrave for correction since no response was forthcoming. I do thank you for your prompt action, and I will try to get a better photo for your memorial (the one I took the other day isn't that good).

I have added that info to the bio section. Let me know if this is what you had in mind.

I received your request to link Frances to her father's memorial. Guess what, I would if I could. I am not the "owner" of her memorial, so the request should be made thru those channels. I'm sure you are aware, but children are linked to parents, not the other way around.

Sorry for your disappointment.

Olive Farr Holman
She is buried in Legg Cemetery in Sterling, MA. Please refer to the data I added on her Stow, MA memorial page #40533750. Two pages are been created for her. Re-marriages make it most difficult to track the lives of women. MZ

RE: Jonathan Holman
The vital records state he died Templeton. His headstone, if there was one, has not survived the centuries. His wife, Olive, is buried in Sterling, MA.
