Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.

My passions in life are my family, genealogy,
gardening,and writing.

I started climbing my family tree when I was twelve, and haven't stopped yet!

I have enjoyed taking some "roots vacations" to
Illinois and Pennsylvania. Genealogy naturally leads you to the world of history. I enjoy American History very much.

Many of my ancestors came to America for religious reasons. I have traced them through
just about every war that America has taken part in.

"Turning Hearts" comes from the last verse in The Old Testament, Malachi 4: 6. is one of my very favorite websites.

It is a second death after you are forgotten.
How many generations does it take, even in a close knit family, for the fabric to unravel....?
Albert Lewis, Jewish Rabbi

"And death hath come upon our fathers; nevertheless we know then, for a Book of Remembrance we have written among us, according to the pattern of God." Moses 6: 45-46

"It isn't the date on either end that counts
But how they used their dash
For that dash between the dates
Represent the time they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them know
What that little line is worth."
William Elliot Dudley

Mr. Shirl Ferre
Colburns at Eureka cemetery
No, sorry I did not find a headstone for R. E. Colburn, William Edgar Colburn or William Barter Colburn at the Eureka City cemetery, Utah. I was only able to find the cemetery record (posted a copy to the memorial) and then I physically went to the location identified by the recorder but did not find a headstone. There are a lot of little metal markers in this cemetery but they are non-readable. Shirl

John Kniebbe/Kneibbe

You requested a photo for John Kneibbe in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw, MI.
I took the photo and added it to the memorial, but discovered the following info:
*His last name is spelled KnIebbe (letter I 1st)
*He is a Jr. His parents are John H Sr. and Caroline Kniebbe
*His date of birth is 11/30/1889
*His date of death is 9/28/1909
*He is buried in Section 12 - Lot 6 (as are his parents)
I sent edits to the creator of the memorial, but sometimes it takes a while to get them done and I wanted to let you know.

RE: Stephen Greenleaf
My pleasure! I was briefly in Vermont looking for some of my relations in the same cemetery. It is a beautiful stone & I was also able to photograph the stone of Stephen's wife. I'm always happy to see how well inscriptions hold up when they used slate!
Best regards, Lara
