Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a wife, mother, and grandmother.

My passions in life are my family, genealogy,
gardening,and writing.

I started climbing my family tree when I was twelve, and haven't stopped yet!

I have enjoyed taking some "roots vacations" to
Illinois and Pennsylvania. Genealogy naturally leads you to the world of history. I enjoy American History very much.

Many of my ancestors came to America for religious reasons. I have traced them through
just about every war that America has taken part in.

"Turning Hearts" comes from the last verse in The Old Testament, Malachi 4: 6. is one of my very favorite websites.

It is a second death after you are forgotten.
How many generations does it take, even in a close knit family, for the fabric to unravel....?
Albert Lewis, Jewish Rabbi

"And death hath come upon our fathers; nevertheless we know then, for a Book of Remembrance we have written among us, according to the pattern of God." Moses 6: 45-46

"It isn't the date on either end that counts
But how they used their dash
For that dash between the dates
Represent the time they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them know
What that little line is worth."
William Elliot Dudley

Those we love, don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
--Still loved, still missed and
Very dear.

Cancer is so limited..
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot shatter Hope
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot destroy Peace
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot suppress Memories
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal Eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit
Cancer is so limited!

RE: Sarah Thompson
You're very welcome and, yes indeed, it is a beautiful stone and quite well preserved for a 130 old marble stone. /Bill

I'm sorry, but it's wrong. I have the correct parents listed on his memorial. The grave marker photo I took was way back in the 80's, before Eleanor passed away. I don't think I'll make it back to NY state in the near future.

I'm pretty sure his father was Judd North VanBuskirk (not F. Judd VanBuskirk) and Ivadell Avery VanBuskirk, not Ivadell Avery Buskirk. I know they were buried in Cortland County, but have not found them here on Find A Grave. Could you tell me where you got your information? Regards, Lori

Thank You once again
for your corrections but could you hold off on anymore until my cousin takes over. I will be requesting the transfer of all my memorials over to her probably within a week. I am just finishing the last of what needs to be done and I would hate to have a correction get lost in the shuffle. Thanks again for your kind words and help. Bob

RE: Anna Garrett
You are very welcome. I have actually had that one for a while. I didn't realize she was Mr. Cope's wife.

Thank You
for the correction, I have applied it to her memorial and gave you credit. Just to let you know, I will be leaving find a grave by the end of this month for good. So any further corrections will have to be sent to my cousin who will be taking over my memorials. Thanks for all the help. Bob

I went back to the cemetery on Saturday just to make sure there is no marker next to Geneva and there isn't. Today I called the cemetery and they verified George is not buried there.
