Bio and Links
Bio Photo I add memorials on Find-A-Grave because I enjoy it. I want to keep these people from being forgotten. Through this site they will always be able to be found if someone is looking. I work full time and have a family. But I will take care of any corrections you send me as long as there is not a conflict with current information or I can verify it. If you are a family member and want something added just let me know.

When requesting a "Transfer", please include your connection to the person, there are times when more than one person will request a transfer, I feel it should go to the closed kin. I do not mind transferring in most cases, but if I cannot figure it out I am not going to transfer to either.

I do not know why but I am finding some of my e-mails from Find A Grave in my junk box. If I miss your request, it is not intentional.

RE: CATES memorial....
Thanks for the info. I live near the cemetery. I think maybe the "Cate's stones" are now misplaced because my wife and I walked over every foot of the cemetery. It is a much larger cemetery than it probably was in 2002. Thanks again for your help.

You sent me the message below. I noticed on May Lucille you are listed that you maintain her site. I DID NOT GIVE YOU permission to do this. I will report this to find a Grave. You have ask me this before, same reply is NO.

RE: Thomas Moore
You are the best! I assume you've been getting all this rain also and I know all about having to sit down to read some of those stones. I now am living in eastern TN and it seems KY is always getting some kind of "weather".

CATES memorial....
Charlotte:
Smith Cemetery - US - TN - Marion County you quoted of finding 2 stones with the surname of Cates. Can you give me any idea of location in the cemetery? Thanks in advance.

RE: Thomas Moore
One further note...Thomas Moore would be my 4th great grandfather. Not sure you want to make a transfer therefore, but I'd welcome it if you chose to eventually.

RE: Thomas Moore
Charlotte, this is tremendously exciting!!! I have wondered about this since I started doing family research back in the 1970s...and even then I had this note about the grave location and inscription of Thomas Moore's grave hanging over my head. On vacation once I even drove through Danville to see what I could see...but time was short and nothing was accomplished. I wonder if there are the remnants of a stone there, or would this Bill Jones have the location for you to even look for one. I'd be neat to have even a field stone marker photo, but since it was once inscribed technically it should be more of an older marker that could by this time be totally smooth on both sides. I wish there were something I could do for you for finding this out. Is it alright, do you think, if we just go ahead and assume this is my Thomas?
