Bio and Links
Bio Photo Find A Grave memorials should be viewed as works in progress. I will gladly link families, add tidbits to memorials or correct my errors.

Photos are not always good; due to the time of day of photo and some are old, old markers in poor condition which need cleaning, etc., but they are worth a view to someone searching for an ancestor. The only time I add an "overview" photo to someone else memorial is to show location which is a great help in finding a marker in a large area and/or to add data on the photo caption. If you wish for photos to be deleted, please let me know. If you wish for a better photo and the cemetery is close by, I will retake a photograph. I occasionally retake photos to see if I can obtain a better photo than my original and I delete my old ones on the memorials. Use the photos if you wish - sharing is what it is all about.
Excluding my own kin and a few special people, my memorials are up for grabs...use the "edit" and your FAG ID# to your request. I add to Find A Grave because I believe everyone should be remembered. It is not a race or quest to see how many entries I have! Many of my memorials are no kin to me....just honoring their memory.
Millions of folks read funeral notices online, so they are public knowledge. Sometimes we add an excerpt or more data to a memorial, but often that information assists genealogist in making family ties.

We have only two (2) books left as of January 2015, The books are hardbound, dark green with gold embossed lettering, size 9" x 12" collector's edition printed on acid-free paper, 314 pages. Articles were written about Etowah County families and submitted by family members. Some of the local churches, cemeteries, towns, military, etc. articles are included in the book. The cases have never been opened, so books are new. You will be surprised at the low cost of these last few cases of books! Every penny will be used by the Etowah County Heritage committee members to buy genealogical books for Gadsden Public Library, Gadsden, Alabama. We appreciate your inquiry regarding the cost, etc. for the Etowah County Heritage books - email:

PILGRIMS REST CEMETERY, EDITION II . . . new book as of 1-14-2015 . . . packed full of family history for burials dating back to 1859 in this old cemetery located in Southside, Etowah County, Alabama. If interested, email:
