Hi everyone! I love genealogy and believe that many good things can come from visiting local cemeteries and by cleaning them up. The idea of losing some of these smaller sites in Maine and New Hampshire due to vegetation and vandalism worries me. I'm willing to help search for a cemetery if you have a general location! I live in Chester, NH but travel frequently to Maine and Massachusetts. My family (Eastman, Tyler, Richard, Ellingwood) was based in Oxford county Maine for quite some time but I can't find many of their stones. My plan is to transcribe as many places as I can and hopefully stumble upon some of my "lost" family members. Our deepest family mystery is what ever happened to Leslie Eastman (1874-1902)? The 1900 census had him in Dixfield and his death certificate has him dying of pneumonia in Rumford but there is no burial location. I love to help where I can so feel free to hit me up!
