I am documenting the Ucluelet Cemetery and Ladysmith Cemetery, looking for each memorial in the Archives of British Columbia. However, I have found of late there are many more (unmarked) graves in Ladysmith than I had thought. In order to at least get them posted I will do that first and do the archives once finished (a lot are already done).
I will transfer any memorial requested, with the exception of my own very close family members. My reason for documenting is to bring families together, if it is not my family member, I have no purpose to keep the memorial, so please do request. My name will always show as the original contributor, and the memorial cannot be deleted by anyone but me, so I have no problem with transferring. I do ask that the biography I have done not be altered, and credit be given.
I think it is very important that we all remember that we do not own the memorials, whether we are the originator or not. Find A Grave are the owners, and we are the contributors. That is why those who are managing a memorial are called managers. Withholding any memorial, when requested by family, or refusing to cooperate in changing data is not nice.
Please do not punish folks simply because another request turned sour; or you have decided to make your own rules.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and happy hunting!
