I got my love of geneology from my father and his parents. What a fascinating hobby! I currently live in Iceland and have been here for 7 years now. I am originally from Iowa.
My families are KLEVER, SLAGER, SPERRY and on my dad's side: BENNETT, KYNETT, HOOVER, FILLOON, HERSHEY, STINE.
I have completely photographed the Pilot Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg, Iowa, Iowa and those can be found at: http://iowagravestones.org. Whenever I get back to Iowa, I try and take photos at cemeteries.
I am currently photographing the cemetery here in Akranes, Iceland. (2014 of note: I have received a few complaints about posting these graves from Akranes on FAG without permission. Some of them I totally understand the reasoning. In lieu of that, I have decided to go in and delete ALL of the entries (500+) I had made in the Akranes Cemetery. This is a shame as it took several hours of work to do enter these in and once some of the old stones are gone, they are gone forever, but I do not want this matter to snowball any further.
I will transfer memorials to you if they are not one of my family members.
Sadie Griffin I added the info you sent to her Find A Grave memorial and also her page in my Ancestry. Don't know how the one on Ancestry will turn out - - they've really messed that up. Don't know why they can't leave it alone.
Greetings - I'd like to point out that we both created monuments for Ivan Kynett (my wife's uncle,) mine just prior to yours. More important, Ivan's first wife on your memorial is incorrect, you show Myrtle M, mine show's Myrtle L. (Skadsen) Kynett.
If you decide to leave your memorial, at least enter the correct wife.
RE: Serena Hershey Burial Thanks I honestly hadn't thought about that in a while, but I haven't found any further info on her burial. Thanks forgot forgetting. I was just thinking, though, if we could find out what church Serena's family went to around the time of her death, maybe there's an adjoining cemetery and that's where she's buried. Anyway, thanks for all your help and good luck with your research. Brian
