Back in the late 80's I became interested in my family's genealogy and made a lot of progress documenting it. But when my kids came along, genealogy took a back seat to little league and Cub Scouts... Now that they're in high school I'm picking up where I left off and am happy to see all the online resources that weren't available back then! Find-A-Grave is awesome! I'm thrilled every time I find another ancestor's memorial that someone took the time to post and am happy to "pay it forward" by helping others with photo requests.|
Aside from graving, I like to hike, backpack, canoe and geocache. I am also an amateur novelist so look for me at a booksigning some day!
As for photos - I am generally happy to share photos I've posted with others who'd like to use them. My only request is that you include my name as the source in the photo comments, and maybe drop me an email or post a message that you're using it. I've run across my photos on Ancestry that others have used without acknowledgement. Just a little shout-out is being considerate...

Thanks Danny, unfortunatelly no ww2 units or patch which could help me . I'm pretty certain he was a 11th Airborne, 187 Glider Infantry Regiment. Same name and same death date ... but no proof ... hope to find more one day.
Thanks for your help.
Thank you for getting a better photo of Roxanne's memorial stone. This has enabled me to read the dates.

This is another memorial that isn't mine and which I doubt. It may be that he is buried in Old St. Aloysius which is still in use. I would be a recent burial. If I remember I'll call the funeral home to see where he is actually buried.

Thank you so much for submitting the pic! Jill
Hi - thank you for looking. It isn't my memorial and I don't have any real reason for thinking he is buried there. Of course not finding a stone doesn't mean that he absolutely is not there. I don't want to cross swords with the memorial manager so I will look and see if I can find out where he is buried.

I have found a photo in my late mother's album of a soldier by the name of Holt, who was in Panama in 1935. He is with three other soldiers, one of which was a friend of my mother. Could/would this Holt be the Maurice D. Holt Sr., whom you have entered in "Find a Grave"?

Thanks for trying to find Mary Morgan's headstone at Charles Memorial Gardens. I appreciate the effort. Just trying to confirm her husband's burial.
