Bio Photo I grew up by a cemetery and found peace and enjoyment in spending time reading the headstones, finding all beautiful and interesting. The feeling is pretty much the same now that I've grown up, got a motorcycle for the adventures, and a husband for my partner in crime! I love taking pictures so hopefully I can take some for you. This web site is invaluable so I plan to keep adding. Contact me if you have any requests...

Please visit my beloved brother that left us suddenly this year.

📷You are welcome to use any headstone pictures I have added. You DO NOT have permission to copy/use the family and personal pictures without my permission. They are my family and therefore off limits unless you ask. I have added them for geaneology sake, so their distant relations can see their history. Thank you

RE: Great Lakes National Cemetery
It did not work out to take my father to Great Lakes Cemetery. Instead my husband and I stopped yesterday on our way to Detroit. I loved it. Very quiet and well maintained. I will try to return one day with dad and show him the peaceful setting. I found my four requests without any trouble. Also located a family member. Thanks for your help.

I read my dad your message. What a nice thing to say. It choked him up a bit. And you are right, the Korean conflict was truly the "forgotten war".

Yes, it is a very small world!

Thank you for your quick response. No need to cancel your requests, but that was nice of you to offer. I was just "trying to birds with one stone"...so to speak. Also thanks for the cemetery info.

Thanks for your dedication in honoring our service men and women. Good job.

Great Lakes National Cemetery
Hello Adventure Rider,
I have been keeping my eye on Great Lakes National Cemetery. I promised my father I would make the 1+ hr drive and show him the cemetery. He's an 85 yr old handicap Korean War vet. I've been waiting until I was able to claim at least 1 photo request. I noticed your name on the sight quite a bit. Do you have any tips for locating markers? I saw they have a map on Find A Grave. Is it pretty easy to navigate the cemetery?
Thank You,
Rap
