Bio

My name is John Whitfield Grubbs, the son of Thomas Whitfield Grubbs and Mary Pfund. I have been researching my paternal and maternal forbears for many years and prior to learning about findagrave.com have photographed markers, primarily those of my own relatives, for many years in Kentucky, Texas and California. However, due to the wonderful resources now available on findagrave.com, I have also provided hundreds of suggestions and links for markers overseen by others and have decided I need to now also address the need for more complete information for markers of my own relatives, some already listed on findagrave.com, some not. I am 84 going on 85 now in April 2012, and am a retired professor of musicology at UT Austin and still reside in Austin, Texas.
