My family are mostly from Monroe County, Ohio. I spent lots of time there as a child on my grandparents farm on Grizzle Ridge Road.
Names I'm always researching are mostly my family's and include Decker, Clark, Workman, Griffith, Brown, Schenk, Freitag (Friday) Murphy, Fisher, Young, McMahon, Turner, Ullman, Mellott and Ott.
Please take a minute to look through my virtual cemetery, "Grandma's Album." ==> These are photos of friends and relatives I have not yet identified. Maybe you will recognize someone and be able to help me identify them. Maybe they are a relative of yours?
For me, this is about doing something good for my family members and yours, too! It's not about keeping score, taking credit for something or seeing how many memorials I can build. It's exiting to research and locate family members that I never knew about. If I can help you find yours in the Sacramento area please let me know, I'd be happy to help.
Henry B. Hixenbaugh, FAG #82634068 Thank you very much for transfuring Henry B. Hixenbaugh to me. I met with a gentleman a few years ago in Woodsfield and he gave me a his research on the Hixenbaugh family which was quit detailed. If you would like a copy of his research contact me using my email address. Paul K. Jensen
Family Hi Cousin Tom :) I do not know where Finley is buried. I am finding that my ancestors are scattered pretty much all over the Laings/Antioch/Clarington/Sardis area. Supposedly, his wife, Elizabeth, is buried at Fletcher, but I haven't been there yet. My mother still continues the tradition of "decorating" the graves of her side of the family around Memorial Day with my sister. I am tagging along to find some from my dad's side, too. If I find Finley, I will certainly let you know. Sharon
Family Hi, Tom. Just read Finley R. Workman's memorial - he was my great-great grandfather. After a life-long curiosity about my roots, I'm finally doing some research. Thanks to people like you, I'm making progress. And, bonus - we may be related? Every new connection is exciting. I've lived in Monroe County most of my life. I even know where Grizzle Ridge is:) Sharon Workman Tremblay
Email Hello Tom, No, it is not legit. I am so sorry that you received such an email however, you are not alone, everyone of my email contacts were solicited for funds. I believe that I have remedied the problem by changing my email password. Marcia
RE: David and Emma Clark Tom, You are most welcome. Your story about the harmonica touched me. Now you can add more photos, if you would like. I would very much like to talk to you if you would email me. Lord's Blessings, Roxie
Henry Brown My wife, Linda Lee Wharton Goldman's, 2nd great-grandfather is Stephen Henry Brown. I see in your memorial, that Stephen's father is listed as Henry Brown. Could you please share the source of this information?
I also noted the photo of Stephen & wife Keziah. in Stephen's memorial. The Wharton family had the same photo (now in my possession).
