I started working on genealogy about 28 years ago and found it fascinating! I took a short break to raise my family and returned to it about 10 years ago. Now my family might say it nearly consumes me and all my time.|
On a recent trip to Idaho, I even went graveyard searching to gather family headstone photos! Yes, they are posted on here!
I am always willing to help others with questions and willing to learn from those that have more knowledge than I do.
I believe that if we have access to the information, we should do our best to preserve it, provide it, post it, update it, or correct it for others. Otherwise it may be lost or forgotten.
When doing my research, I seem to feel that I travel back to the time of my ancestors and am right there with them. I feel their struggles and losses right there with them.
I would love to be able to go back in time and spend an afternoon asking questions. Maybe getting some of those 'just out of reach' answers.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce multiple name listings.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

John Cochran Jr., Find a Grave memorial # 23553540.
These copies of drawings are from the book, History of Knox County, 1881. The book is at OGS building near Bellville Ohio. Very little was stated in book about Mary Oram. Here is what I found for her; She married John, Jan 28 1830 "The Cochran family are all identified with the Methodist Episcopal church. Mrs. Mary Cochran is a resident of Fredericktown, and is also a worthy member of the church, and highly respected.".
The picture's existence indicates he also has a nice biography about him and his family in this History book. I would automatically seek this story and type it for you if I was not restricted by my own work that needs done right now. The copy write on this book has ran out and can be used any way you want including pictures contained within. I love to help others, so if you can't find it on your own, I will help you. Just communicate and let me know.

Disregard last updates I sent to you on him.

I will be posting the entire plot. I just wanted to fill your request.

In 1945 the cemetery was transcribed. Daniel's stone was listed as a Field Stone with no dates.
He is in a line of 4 graves....two are his sons and the other is another field stone...perhaps his wife.

Yes, this is the right family and I made a mistake about his first wife, Florence, being buried there. I have changed her memorial to unknown for now and if I can't find the cemetery, I will delete it. Can't believe I missed this! Florence is my mother-in-law's aunt so I will ask her if she knows where Florence is buried. I suspect it is in Hood River, Oregon. Thanks so much for all your help!
