I started working on genealogy about 28 years ago and found it fascinating! I took a short break to raise my family and returned to it about 10 years ago. Now my family might say it nearly consumes me and all my time.|
On a recent trip to Idaho, I even went graveyard searching to gather family headstone photos! Yes, they are posted on here!
I am always willing to help others with questions and willing to learn from those that have more knowledge than I do.
I believe that if we have access to the information, we should do our best to preserve it, provide it, post it, update it, or correct it for others. Otherwise it may be lost or forgotten.
When doing my research, I seem to feel that I travel back to the time of my ancestors and am right there with them. I feel their struggles and losses right there with them.
I would love to be able to go back in time and spend an afternoon asking questions. Maybe getting some of those 'just out of reach' answers.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce multiple name listings.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

I will be glad to transfer Mary Jane Patterson Cory to you. Request the transfer. You'll see an Edit for the Plot data. Add the Veterans' Section. The cemetery is large and the section helps.

Thanks so much for transferring William Henry Akers, George Franklin Akers and one other one to me. Don't remember which one it was now.
|Helen||Perle D Reynolds|
Hi, I have transferred memorial to you since he is part of your family. Also, I changed name to Perle, as it reads on family stone. The other is a military stone and they are known to have mistakes. Have a great day.

|Lori Lyon||RE: Ewin Estep|
You are welcome! I called Geary City Hall and they emailed me a map with marked sites for all the names that I was looking for. I don't remember seeing any additional gravesites for the Estep family members, but next time we are in Geary, I'll check again.

I am aware of the need to continue to photograph Lake View and several other large Seattle cemeteries. However, I am cutting back not moving forward with the time I spend doing Find A Grave projects.
Thanks for the thought
|Jeri Lin Brown||Many Thanks!|
Thanks for braving the cold and taking pictures of the graves of Maurice and Effie Potter. It was 85 degrees in Mesa, Arizona today. Sending many (warm) thanks your way!
