I am willing to add information from relatives to any of my memorials or to transfer a memorial to a more closely related direct relative. I am also willing to receive transfer of memorials of individuals to whom I'm related. Often I can add info that the originator may not have. I'm willing to transfer info to the originator even if he or she would like to keep maintenance of the memorial.|
Please feel free to use any of my photos without asking for permission. I take these photos not only for myself but to share with others who may not be able to travel the world to get them.

|Anita R. Austill||RE: Susan Davis|
Your edit was to change her last name on the memorial to Atherton Davis, which I said would not show up on search, you did not send a edit to link her to another husband. I am not at home with my notes, if you have her parents then please link them also.
|Anita R. Austill||Susan Davis|
The last name will have to stay Davis, and it should match the stone. Two names on the last name space will not show up in the search correct. Did she marry a Atherton also? I could list all names in the bio area but I can not edit it with the names as you want them.
|mrs||RE: Martha E Smith Fairview Cemetery|
Gary, Martha E. Smith is probably Martha E. Carson Smith so I have updated her memorial to reflect that. Her marker is very weathered so it wasn't possible to "lift" the dates previously. Also, it was unclear as to whether or not J. E. Smith was also buried in that location. The drive to Fairview Cemetery is over an hour; however, I would like to go back to finish recording the old east section so perhaps I'll be able to take another look at Martha's marker. I did locate my notes for the east section, row 2 which show the order of markers as Rebecca Morgan, Martha E. Smith, father, shared Thomas/Elizabeth Carson, mother, Hester A Parrish Carson, Axey J. Leer. It is my understanding that the caretaker's early burial records were destroyed in a house fire. Hope this helps. mrs

|Carson,||RE: Based on deduction and assumption...|
Feel free to use any info I provide, the more info out here the better record we all create.
The info you provided confirm your wife and I are 6 cousins. With that I will give you more detailed info on our CARSON family. The name is Celtic/Scottish from the Celtic tribe McPherson but often misreported as the Kerr Clan. It is first recorded in 1250 A.D. as Acarsen. A 5th Cousin 1ce removed and I myself have done DNA Paternal test matching 35/37 confirming purity of our Thomas1740 link. Our DNA is Nordic; 45% of Carson's are, due to 860 A.D. Viking invasion of the current British Isles. 55% are Celtic DNA. Yep, your wife and kids are Vikings from their CARSON line. Unfortunately we have no details about the parents of line of Thomas1740 in Ireland. Although in Irish and German culture of the time it was demanded first sons are named for the Paternal grandfather, it can be assumed but not recorded as fact that James was his father's name as it is the first sons name.
Change Gears: the Thomas Carson 10 Aug 1817 - 28 Oct 1858 and Elizabeth Rich Carson 19 Sept 1822-31 Dec 1899 married 9 Jun 1842. Thomas born family farm Fallowfield Twp, WACoPA, Elizabeth born Adams Co. OH. Both died Rush CO IN buried Fairfield. Children Joel S., Charlotte CARSON Kirkpatrick both @ Fairview, Martha E., Mary Caroline CARSON Coller.
This is the couple I mentioned in an earlier post, when I mentioned they are buried mear feet from Elizabeth Davis Rich.
Thomas DID NOT have a given middle name, I don't know what reference you got a middle name from but it's incorrect.
As I mentioned before this Thomas is oldest brother of my Great Great Grandfather and NOT party of the CARSON line in Rush County up to this time. Joseph Carson, your wife's 4th Great Grandfather was this Thomas's Great Uncle.
Thomas1, Thomas2(Esq), Thomas Gibson3, Thomas4 b1817.
Obviously Elizabeth is a member of John H Rich family but no one can find and make the family connection, it's like the Rich family left her out of the records.
Not to confuse things more but.... Thomas4 parents were first cousins, they are my own 3rd Great Grandparents. Thomas 4 mother, Elizabeth Scott3, daughter of Sarah CARSON Scott2, a daughter of Thomas1.
So, I am actually, 6 cousin to your wife twice or through two lines.

|Carson,||My Martha at Fairview is your wife's GGGG Grandmother|
LMAO OK I HAVE MADE THE CONNECTIONS; credit to Molly.
First, if you're right your wife is 1 cousin 3 times removed from Martha Jane Rich Michael... Then your wife and I are straight 6th cousins.
My Martha is your Martha's Grandmother. She is the mother of Joseph Carson Rich 1825-1905.
Your wife's line: Thomas CARSON, Joseph Carson, Martha CARSON Rich.... One of Joseph's syblings ....
So my Martha is your wife's 4th great grandmother and 1 cousin to my 4 Great Grandfather Thomas Gibson CARSON... Now I mention this because of the following irony..... Thomas's oldest son also Thomas left PA followed Great Uncle Joesph to Rush Co, and is buried just feet from Elizabeth Davis Rich at Fairfield; I've stood on these graves. This Thomas is a GGG Uncle to me and he married an Elizabeth Rich B. 19 Sept 1822, in 1842. We cannot find this Rich in the other Rich family trees but know she must be. Anyway that's a side thing.
Back to your wife's info. John H Rich, per Molly info, B.1772 NC D. MEIGS Twp, Adams Co, Oh. M. 7 Nov 1775 in Rowan Co. NC. Elizabeth Davis D. 18 Oct 1885 @ Fairview Cem.
So your wife, must be from one of Tillman and Martha children other than Joseph, which one??? Molly and your wife are at least 4th cousins or closer if there from the same child or grandchildren.
I hope this opens some doors.

Gary this web page is that of my family's Martha, this link goes directly to her in a family tree page built by a direct 3rd Great Granddaughter of Martha's; Molly Hager, Molly and I are 6th cousins. From this link you can go up or down Martha's line.
