I appreciate all of the work that YOU have done in this cemetery. I took hundreds of photos in this cemetery back in the years when I was working, but never had the chance to post them. It seems posting alone is a full-time job! I found several folders of Oaklawn pictures on my computer. It's sad to see how some of the markers have deteriorated in the years since I took the photos. Depending upon the sun/shadows/etc, some of my pictures are clear; some are not. I post whatever pictures might be useful to someone researching the decedent. I also post any pictures with flowers, as it is a comforting feeling that someone cared enough to place flowers at the grave. It's good to know that you have taken this cemetery under your "wing!" Feel free to offer any suggestions, etc., as I work through my "collection."

Most likely patent dates I would think. Seems kind of strange though.

Thanks Jon! I'll try and track it down. Will let you know. ~ Shawn
|Sherry Reichert||Mary Beam Kagan|
you have memorial #110331086 for her and a Shirley Bybee also has memorial #94924587. She is my great aunt. Her full Name was Mary Louise (Beam) Kagan. Her parents also have memorials.
I am new to this. How do we merge the duplicate memorials for Aunt Mary and also how do I add her parents and siblings that have memorials.

I'm not sure how Patty derived the plot numbers for the La Grange cemetery when she wrote her book. She told me there were no early cemetery records for La Grange. Most were destroyed by water. I ended up using old cemetery plot maps, which are available in the Titusville library. By overlaying the headstone locations onto the maps, I was able to derive the plot numbers. Turns out plots C58 and C71 are right next to each other. The grave for Polly was probably right on the border of the two. Unless you have an actual funeral record stating the plot number, I think I'll leave the information as is.
|Marion Larson-Smith||Brevard County Cemetery|
I think I came across my brother's gravestone. Find-a-grave memorial #93880185 Thomas Larson UK 06 06. I called the county clerks office in Titusville, FL and birth and death records in Titusville. I was looking for information about Thomas Larson and what type of cemetery is Brevard County Cemetery also known as County Acres Cemetery. Both offices were unable to help me. Do you know is this cemetery is for people who were destitute? The woman in the birth and death records office was no help at all, every question I asked her, she said no. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
