Hi, Julie. i think we might be related? Based on only an afternoon's research, i think your dad might have been my grandma's half brother...
Please feel free to get in touch, I've never managed to figure out this side of my family before, but I need to before it's too late! My grandma is almost 89!

I have added a photo of her permanent marker, so you may wish to delete the photo of her temporary marker.

Correction: Norma is not listed in the 1930 census but in the 1940 Census
|Edd Painter||Hart, Norma Louise|
I am the historian for the Old Hall Cemetery and am wondering if you can provide any additional info on your entry for Norma Louise Hart, ie, her place of birth, parents and their dates of birth and death and place of burial. I found a Norma L Hart in the 1930 census with parents Walter and Lillie but in the 1940 census they had changed their name to Hurt---is this correct. Would appreciate any info.
I went to Mr. Coles grave today and the headstone has not been added yet.

Julie - you requested I email you, but you didn't leave an email address :-( This is work I've been doing for a close relative. I'm in a holding pattern right now as I have other lines I am currently working. Thus - I don't have an answer to your question. Before I link someone, I like to have some sort of proof of the relationship between the two -- as people tend to depend on what they find without doing their own research to find proof... resulting in lots of mistakes. I'll be glad to link the two if you'll please just send me something that shows these are indeed the right parents. If not, I'll make note of the links you've sent and link as soon as I am able to establish the relationship. Thanks for the lead either way.

Walter Sidney Carson - Find A Grave Memorial # 75323954 which I set up on Aug 22, 2011, duplicate of Find A Grave Memorial # 49011870 which was set up on Mar 02, 2010
I emailed Find a Grave and asked that they merge the two memorials so that the dates and headstone photo would be kept.
We'll see what happens. I've requested merges in the past, but some pictures did not transfer.

Hi, I updated John Ray's portrait with the date it was taken. I'm guessing your mother-in-law is related to him?? I would love to know anything else you or she would happen to know about him! His branch in my family tree is my favorite.
