I grew up in Kansas (Sedgwick County), originally from Missouri. My sister and I have been working on family history and family photos for many years. I discovered Find-A-Grave in 2011. At first, I just wanted to share some pictures I had taken of headstones since I was so happy to find some of our ancestor headstones on Find A Grave. However, since that time the information on Find-A-Grave has helped a lot in our ancestry search. I appreciate all the help I've been given.

Our families are Thompson, Allen, Pennington, McCurdy, Strow, Bower, Smith (that‘s a great one to search for, but I actually found a Smith link to Pennsylvania and a distant cousin who helped me with my great-grandma's information). Also Davison, Hanneman, Heiswoolf, Hochstrasser, Schmalzried, Kubin, Henricks, Wagoner, Weirick, Hollenberger, to name just a few.
