My father was Thomas C McGiffin (1929-1991) and his parents and my grandparents were William Junkin McGiffin (1893-1955)and Nell Florence Belz McGiffin (1895-1969). W J (William Junkin) McGiffin (son of Nathaniel 1851-1921) and May Junkin McGiffin (1856-1898) related to the Cheney's and McGiffin's in the Great Falls area in Montana (where he was born) and in Fairfield Iowa. Nathaniel's father was Norton McGiffin and son of Sarah Huston Quail, and was one of five boys, Thomas, James, Norton, Nathaniel and Philo Norton (and my grt grandfather Nathaniel)
On my mother Harriet's side my grandparents were Harry H. Bergman (Jacob and Philippena Bergman) and Alice Dodge Bergman. Grandpa Harry's roots go back to his grandfather, Jacob Bergman known as a Butterfield Stage stop and mail driver for the Butterfield Stage Co (and Civil War Veteran) William M Godfrey who was one of California's first photographers in LA in the early 1860-90's and William Dresser Huntington.
