|I really got into family research after my Dad passed away in August of 2011. I wanted to know more about my family history and figured I had better get started while my Mom was still with me.|
I enjoy walking through the cemeteries, taking pictures and adding them to this site. Sometimes in my walks through these cemeteries I'll see neglected and damaged markers, so I stop and take the time to clean them up the best I can and take a picture. Who knows, this might be the last picture taken before it is completely gone. A headstone will last a long time, but not forever.
I always take the time to get a picture of our veterans. Our Men and Women that have served and sacrificed for our Country to give us the freedoms that we have. They deserve our utmost respect and gratitude.
I work hard to get my information as accurate as possible, but I do make mistakes. When they are called to my attention or I find them I do the corrections.
I will be more than happy to transfer any of my non-family memorials to anyone who finds that I have entered one of their relatives. I feel that a family member can add so much more to a memorial than a non-family member. If you would like a transfer, please state your relationship with the person you would like transferred.
Please do not post a duplicate of a photo that is already in place. If there is a photo of the headstone, there does not need to be another, unless the one there is totally unreadable and yours can be read. Also remember that unsponsored memorials are limited to five pictures, so please make them worthwhile.
I applaud everyone for their additions to Find A Grave, especially the volunteer photographers. You guys do an awesome job and all the hard work is greatly appreciated by all of us.

In order to make the connection between us, I need to know the line between you and your great grandfather.
His son (your grandfather), your father, then you.
You can send me a personal message through my email that is shown on my Find A Grave page.

Brothers and sisters of your GRAND parents are your grand, or more commonly referred to as great uncles and aunts.
Brother and sisters of your Great Grandparents are your Great Grand uncles and aunts, again commonly referred to as great great.
This ain't easy. I see people who answer questions about relationships struggle with the concepts, so I don't feel bad when it causes me pain.
PS: Are you on Ancestry? I would have to look at your tree to figure out where/how we are related, after adding a few people to Family Tree Maker and letting it (FTM) show me the relationship.

Wondering how you are related to Hattie Lovern? Susie Josephine Lord is my 2nd great grand aunt. Her parents are my 3rd great grandparents.
Somehow we are probably related. Would like to connect the dots.

|Tina ||RE: James and Earline Lovern|
Earline's mother Eula was my mothers aunt. My mother's name was Doris Craven she was the daughter of Eula's Brother John and his wife Jessie Craven. She was born in Orangeburg but grew up in Charleston. She moved to Ohio in her mid twenties. She never spoke at all about her family. I have been trying desperately for years to find someone from that line of her family to help me build my tree, or even share pics with but haven't had any luck. I live in Ohio. I have found several obits where there was a Rev Ralph Lovern officiating and was trying to see how he fit in. If you know of any members from Earlines side that I might contact or that would be willing to share photos please let me know. I would love to be able to see what these people look like. I would also like to say thank you for all the work you put in on find a grave for people who live far away it is a great source of info.. Thanks Tina
