This is a wonderful tool for all genealogists, and I want to thank the many volunteers who make it work. I also use it for my work as a genealogist and writer, as it provides verification in ways that paper sources cannot. |
I've heard tales of those who use the site for personal gain, but all of the memorials that I manage, or request management for, are family, for whom I am building a comprehensive tree. So I certainly appreciate those of you who are willing to transfer the management "outside the box".
All of the "person" photos I have submitted are from my private collection and in my possession. They may be used if I am given credit for them: "Courtesy of Kathleen Schofield. From her private collection". Thank you for your cooperation.

You are very welcome. My father is buried in SFNC, and it is always an honor to fulfill requests there.

You are most welcome. Like your photo - we have one of our middle daughter very much like it. Oh my, she's 58. Where has the time gone?

There is a huge section of Stark headstones but the light wasn't the best and the stone color (rose quartz) made it difficult to see the engravings.
Last night I decided that my photographs from yesterday couldn't all be used because the names and dates were so hard to see.
I plan to try taking more photographs later this week. If I can get better photographs, then I will post them and (if possible) replace the ones I already posted.
I wanted you to know in case you notice a change in photographs.
How are you related to the Stark family. Are there headstones for any family members you particularly want photographs? If so, just make your photo requests and I will do my best to help you out.
Here in Illinois the autumn leaves are falling quickly. Unfortunately, this means that winter is on its way too and Naperville Cemetery may be covered with snow one day in the not too distant future.
Naperville Cemetery is just a few miles from our home and near where my daughter goes for activities twice weekly. I have my own ancestors buried there so I don't mind going exploring. It gives me another chance to pay my respects to my own folks.

WOW -- glad to be of such help!
|Mary Fowler Leek||Barbara Lee Simpson|
Would you know if Barbara Lee Simpson, daughter of Alva and Ruth Simpson, ever married? I can find no marriage record for her. There is an entry for a Barbara Lee Simpson in the Santa Fe National Cemetery and I wonder if this might be our Barbara Lee. I know she traveled to Italy with her mother in 1950, when she was 27, and still using her maiden name at that time. I've no idea if she ever served in the military. Of course, if she married and her husband served, she could be interred in a military cemetery with him. However, this memorial is under the name 'Barbara Lee Simpson'.
My thanks for your time.

I wasn't certain this was our Virginia but noticed the memorial had been created by someone else and thought perhaps if it wasn't someone in their family, it would be easy to enter the names in the wrong order.
Gosh, if I had a penny for every goof up I do, I'd have a lot of pennies to roll!
Thank you for confirming this is our Virginia.

You are most welcome. It is my pleasure to sponsor the page for James. The memorials you've created or are maintaining are so nice. Thank you for all you've done for the family.
