Bio

I was born in Great Falls, MT but live now in Albuquerque, NM. Every summer we visit our family in Montana - and every summer since I can remember, my mother and I visit the graves of all our ancestors. I think that must have been the beginning of my HUGE interest in family history, which also explains why I'm drawn to Find A Grave.

Both my parents* and several of my grandparents were born in Montana. And several of my great grandparents, on both sides, have been in Montana since the 1860s/1870s. So most of my interest has to do with Montana. However, New Mexico is an incredible place to live and we are surrounded not only by enchanted beauty, but centuries of history - including wonderful old graveyards!

I hope to be retired soon and have more time to tromp around New Mexico - or as we like to refer to it, "The Land of Enchantment" - discovering old graveyards. And I'm also looking forward to spending more time in my home state of Montana, or "God's Country", as my mother refers to it.

*Actually, my mother was not born in Montana (the family lived a few short years in California and she was born during that time period). She hates to admit it, though - not because she doesn't like California but because she loves Montana so much. So please don't tell anyone her secret! :0)
