Bio and Links
For the past 40+ years I have been a genealogy addict. Most of my family lines were in and around Jackson County Tennessee, where I was born. I have 3 very grown children and 3 grandchildren +. I am new to Find a Grave, never knew it existed, and am really enjoying all the surprises I am encountering.
My main lines in Jackson Co. are Young, Spurlock, Locke, Jackson, Davidson etc. Any help appreciated and will be glad to assist wherever I can.

Thomas Lillian Brown
Hi -- I see you posted a question several yrs ago seeking the father of Thomas Lillian Brown (TLB born July 10,1878.)

This matches info from my Mother-in-law that the father of Thomas Lillian Brown was Eldrege Brown from Flynn's Lick.

Thomas Lillian Brown married Noah Webster Young and they had Cleo Larrel Young. They moved to Arkansas when Cleo Larrel was a child. I am told Eldrege Brown had at least two other brothers who continued on west.

Best regards

Old Young Family Graveyard?
Hello Betty,

I am hoping someone can photograph a very small (about a dozen) stones in "The Old Young graveyard on Cane Creek" near Fletcher, NC (Henderson Cy). I live in MD now, but my GGGGrandfather is buried in the old cemetery, which I visited almost 20 years ago. The stone reads -
Captain T.J. Young, Veteran
Feb 6 1832
July 9 1900
"a veteran who surrendered with Gen Lee at Appomatax"
Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me.
The old graveyard is located on top of a knoll in the middle of a field/pastureland, and consists of graves/stones with the names of Youngs and Garrens from the 1800s. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks for all your work, Carol

Jacqueline Spurlock Stevens
Spurlock & Bray
My father is Jack D Spurlock b 3/6/31 d 4/30/95, son of Robert Lee & Annie Laura Lester Spurlock from Jackson/Sumner County, TN. In the late 1920's Robert & Annie moved to Gary, IN. There was a Bray family in Gary, IN, my father spoke of them frequently. Is this Bray family on your tree? I have gone to 2 Spurlock reunions in Cookeville, TN years ago. Are U aware of Spurlock reunions in TN?

the Young family
My Young family came from Scotland (maybe) through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio to Kansas. They are one of the Young families documented in Edward Hudson Young's book "Our Young Family in America. My grandfather, Minor Holliday Young, was interviewed by the author in the 1940s when I was a child. I am named in that book, which gives me the Young side of my family all the way back to 1722. I don't think there was any connection between the Youngs and the Spurlocks until my mother married m father.

Granderson Spurlock
Thank you so much for posting the grave of Granderson Spurlock. I think he is the same person as my 2nd great grand uncle, Grandison Spurlock. I am descended from Granderson/Grandison's brother, James Harvey Spurlock.

My family tree is on Ancestry: Beach-Young genealogy.

Jane Wall Jones
Your posting of Jane Wall Jones in Jerusalem Cemetery is incorrect and should be deleted. She remarried after Josephus Jones death and is buried in Louisiana. The link to this memorial is http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=FA&GSpartial=1&GSbyrel=all&GSst=20&GScntry=4&GSsr=361&GRid=39791053&
The cemetery that you posted her internment in is a duplication of another Jerusalem Cemetery in Amite County, Mississippi and should be deleted.
