Found this site and I love it! I have been researching my family off n on for a few years now and I always get stuck. Im researching KECKLER, which was my grandmas maiden name. She was youngest of Claude and Jessie (MYERS). My grandmas first marriage was to Lester Gerald "Jerry" DILLON here in Fostoria. My mom's great grandparents on fathers side were Eli & Elizabeth (RAINEY) Dillon.
My fathers side is POPE. Which they came from Central/SE Ohio. His grandparents were Fredrick & Lillian (BARTHOLOMEW) Pope. Fredricks parents were Arthur W. & Wilhelmina (KIRCHENSCHLAGER) Pope. She also went by Minnie for short or her middle name Minerva. My search ends w her on that side since her parents migrated here from Germany during pregnancy and had the chance of being born here in Athens, OH. Lillians parents were Charles & Ora Mae (POLING). Charles Parents were John & Laura (RIFE). Ora's Fred & Martha (REED) Poling. My search has stopped there. Ive gotten a little further with Dillon's & Keckler's since they are from Fostoria as I am as well.
I am more than willing to take photos for people. I knew what it felt like when someone went out the next day to take pictures of my grandfather in TX and I would love to make someone as happy as I felt :)
