My Isbell great grandparents moved from Alabama to Arkansas and the spelling of the name was changed to Isabel. But for the past 50 years I have been researching all spellings of the name; mostly Isabels in AR and Isbells in AL. I have 29 notebooks full of Isbell family group sheets and am trying to disseminate as much of my data as I can before I get much older. After growing up in AR I moved back to north AL in 1962, started my research and my trips to Shelby County. So many of the ones I interviewed years ago are gone now, but they were lovely people. So many have helped me over the years.
My data is constantly changing as I find new documentation. And friends are still trying to search out new information/relationships in Shelby Co. There are still a few old ones whose parents we just can't find.
