I have been married to my husband for 64 years, am the mother of a son & daughter-in-law, a daughter, 11 grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, including step great grandchildren & other extended family in Texas, Missouri & Louisiana. I was born in Canton, Lewis County, Missouri, but have lived in the Dallas, Texas, area since 1942 (University Park, Richardson, Allen, & Dallas). Graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, and attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where I was an Alpha Delta Pi. majored in Business and Education with a minor in English & Spanish. I worked for the Richardson ISD as an administrative assistant and substitute secretary for 12 years and worked for the Allen ISD as a substitute teacher for 5 years. My husband and I formed our own company in 1982 as manufacturers' representatives, a business we had for 22 years before retiring. We occupied 5000 square feet of showroom space in the Dallas Trade Mart in Dallas. We were representatives for manufacturers who sold gifts, decorative accessories, and dinnerware. Since my retirement, I have always been interested in genealogy and have found ancestry.com and Find a Grave most helpful. I have found all volunteers for FAG to be most helpful, especially in transfers and am now managing memorials of my ancestors. We have been active in Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano for 20 years, are members of the Encouragers Bible Class and the Seniors 3rd Thursday lunch group & attend special programs.
