Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a genealogist at heart and try very hard to find information and links for the memorials I create (and am aware that I am human and do make mistakes) so I am happy to add information and make corrections.

I am also happy to do transfers but please don't send me a transfer request just stating "transfer it to me so I can update it" or ask me to link to "burial unknowns." Every edit or transfer request I receive gets researched and checked against the people buried near them to see if I can find a connection. So please if you have the information, use the edit tab to send the suggestion and THEN ask for the transfer.

Also I create memorials for families so please do not ask for a transfer because you are collecting Civil War soldiers, Pioneers, or whole cemeteries etc. These were real people, not something to be collected and I refuse to treat them as such.

Thank you to all the volunteers that have added photos, send corrections or shared stories or obituaries with me about the memorials in my care. And to those who kindly accept the many edit/link requests that I send out.

A note about photos:
I have been using the beta photo up-loader and one of its quirks is that it doesn't show you if there is already a photo on a memorial. I have tried to delete any duplicate photos I have accidentally added but if you find I have missed one please feel free to let me know.

Candace Laubach, 76192838
Just a note to let you know I have updated Candace's page in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Thanks to your note, when I looked at her page and the other Laubachs buried at Mount Hope, I saw that there were two pages for her husband.

When I made a page for him in 2011, there was no other page. I had made one, adding photos of the upright family stone, and his GAR marker.

I believe someone else had made a page for him (in 2009) but had marked him "burial unknown." When someone discovered he was buried at Mount Hope, they just changed the burial location, so it appeared that I had made a duplicate.

No one ever contacted me about his burial in Mount Hope.

Anyway, I deleted my page for him and moved my photos to the other page. The other one had been made by one person and transferred to someone else. I sent a message to the person maintaining the page to let them know I had added the photos, and also what I believed had happened.

My current passion on Find A Grave seems to be those "burial unknowns." They make so much work for the rest of us, when people just change the cemetery without checking to see if another page had already been made.

Harry Edward Starkey #138305723
Can you please tell me what source gave you the middle name of this person as Edward, since the only name on the stone is Harry, and also the birth and death dates? Is there another monument that lists them? If so, would it be possible for you to send me a picture of it? Harry is my uncle, who I didn't know about until I started searching my family tree. Thank you so much.

Farm Girl from MO.
Transfers please.
I deleted my memorials for Volkert D. Gordon and Ila Virginia (Elsea) Gordon and am hoping you might consider transfering your memorials for them to me if you are not related. I would love to add bio. info./obits. to their memorials so others will know more about them. Thanks for updating your memorials. Look forward to working with you. Farm Girl from MO.

RE: Section 7 Lot 130 questions
Hi Mary,
Thank you for your reply. I thought I had messaged you in the past, but couldn't find it when I looked back through all my messages. Did I really tell you Manhattan? I was hoping that maybe you found it in the cemetery records or something, and got excited that I might have found a new piece of information. My grandfather was adopted and I have no birth records for him, so I am eager to learn all I can about his origins. Although he lived with my family for the last 8 years of his life, he never spoke of his early life, not even to my father.

I live in California and haven't been able to make a trip to that cemetery. This is why I am SO grateful for all you have done. I wasn't requesting (or necessarily interested in) taking over these memorials from you, as I have no physical access to that place. But it is fine.

I don't know why my family never had markers made for my grandparents graves. Probably a financial decision. But I hope to someday have them made. An unmarked grave is a sad thing for me, especially because my grandparents were loved.

Thank you again for your kindness,
