Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a genealogist at heart and try very hard to find information and links for the memorials I create (and am aware that I am human and do make mistakes) so I am happy to add information and make corrections.

I am also happy to do transfers but please don't send me a transfer request just stating "transfer it to me so I can update it" or ask me to link to "burial unknowns." Every edit or transfer request I receive gets researched and checked against the people buried near them to see if I can find a connection. So please if you have the information, use the edit tab to send the suggestion and THEN ask for the transfer.

Also I create memorials for families so please do not ask for a transfer because you are collecting Civil War soldiers, Pioneers, or whole cemeteries etc. These were real people, not something to be collected and I refuse to treat them as such.

Thank you to all the volunteers that have added photos, send corrections or shared stories or obituaries with me about the memorials in my care. And to those who kindly accept the many edit/link requests that I send out.

A note about photos:
I have been using the beta photo up-loader and one of its quirks is that it doesn't show you if there is already a photo on a memorial. I have tried to delete any duplicate photos I have accidentally added but if you find I have missed one please feel free to let me know.

RE: Riverside Cemetery Block 21, Aberdeen, SD
I leave the photo numbers on so I should be able to tell you the adjacent graves or a least nearby since some configurations make you skip around. I will take a look and get back to you.

I have a sister that lives in Aberdeen but I don't get up there much. The next time will probably be when my Niece graduates in the spring. I have one more large section, front and center to do in the south cemetery and the east and north rims. I don't even want to think about starting on the north cemetery across the road.

Mueller-Goetz in Faulk Cemetery
Hi Mary,

I see you have found the burial site of my husband's great-grandparents. Thank you for all your hard work!
Louise Goetz Mueller was born in June, 1858 in Baltimore, Maryland.
She married Constantine A. Mueller, a Lutheran minister, on 3 Mar 1879. He was born in Heine, Cuxhaven, Niedersachsen, Germany on 23 Jul 1850.

Their children were Harry Samuel, Mayme Theresa, Clothede (Cloy) Elizabeth, Esther, Walter Samuel. Mayme Mueller Carman was my husband's grandmother.

I am impressed with all the time you must have put into this. Thank you, once again.

Hi Mary,
I believe you have the wrong Leland Whipple Lockwood 1819 - 1891. Leland Sr (married to Catherine Haywood) is buried in Pioneers and Soldiers Cemetery. The Leland in Lakewood is Jr who was born 10/25/1860 and died 2/6/1919. He was married to Henrietta Theresa McNamara. You might want to double check this and then edit it. Thank you. Lu

Riverside Cemetery Block 21, Aberdeen, SD
Mary, I have a photo for a grave in Block 21 (I think) that is written in Chinese or some other Asian script. I thought since you had created so many of the memorials that you may have access to original records. The dates for the people are 1928-1975 and 1963-1982. I tried searching for deaths in Brown County that matched but did not come up with anything. I realize that this is a long shot but if this rings any bells with you please let me know which last name I should search under. Thanks! Katherine

Bernice McCaffrey
Hi Mary, please hold off on the transfer. For years I thought this Bernice McCaffrey was the daughter of my cousin, but just found a family tree on-line that says her Bernice died in 1922. I need to research this further. If it turns out your Bernice is my cousin, I'll be back in touch.

Best regards,

The bio is correct, but where did you get the notice that he was scattered at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis? Nicholas was my husband and we buried his ashes in Orange Co., NY

Peter Faleen information
Hi, MaryT. I'm trying to find more information about a "Mrs. M. Faleen" who lived in Minneapolis in the early 1900s, and I'm wondering if you have any information/connection with Peter Faleen. Perhaps "Mrs. M." and Peter were married? Thanks!

Mary, I see you have placed Clarence Young on find-a-grave. If you would contact me, I would like to provide more info on this individual as well as the others in this plot in Riverside Cemetery that you can add to find-a-grave. Thanks.

Ron Shifley
Peter Seydel listing
Greetings. This is Rev. Ron Shifley, pastor of the Scotland United Church of Christ in Scotland, SD. Our church owns and maintains the Odessa Reformed Church Cemetery in rural Lesterville, SD. I saw that you posted an entry on for the Odessa Cemetery for Peter Seydel, died 1879. We do not have an tombstone in the cemetery for Peter Seydel, and unfortunately, our church records only go back to 1880, so we are missing names from 1876-1879 for individuals who might have been buried out at the cemetery. I was just wanting to verify how you know that Mr. Seydel was buried out at the Odessa Reformed Church Cemetery, so that he might be added to our church records, and possibly a gravestone might be set in his memory.

Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.
