I am a genealogist at heart and try very hard to find links for the memorials I create so I am happy to add information and make corrections. |
I create memorials to connect families so I am happy to do transfers when the request includes information. HOWEVER I NO LONGER BLINDLY TRANSFER to anyone who sends an edit to me that just says "transfer to me and I will update it." This is not because I don't want to do transfers but because I have done several transfers only to find out later that they were the wrong person and the new "caretaker" is not interested in fixing the mistake.
With that said I love receiving edits and corrections! Especially with the enhancements to the edit feature. It's a big goal, but I have a goal of trying to link every memorial I have created to at least one family member (and more if I can find them) and welcome all the help I can get.

Since you declined the correction, I have created a new memorial (#133539436) with the correct surname.

To MaryT: 27 July 2014
Thank you for your wonderful aid to future genealogists. I am born in Aberdeen. I noticed that an older sister of my mother had her name spelled wrong in your summary for the Hauge/Nelson site - no doubt because that stone is old, soft and very hard to read. It is Dorothea Irene Nelson - not Douty I. She was born 30 July 1907 and died 29 June 1910. All the other information seemed correct.(Note: I added the large granite stone as a summary in the middle of the eight grave plots a few years ago.)
|DG Bender||RE: Engel children|
The ENGEL children's parents were:
Johann Georg ENGEL (10 Oct 1859 - After Jan 1920)
Rosina (Sayler) ENGEL (12 Mar 1862 - After Jan 1920)
Their were last recorded in the "1920 US Federal Census" in Grant County, South Dakota.
Johann Georg ENGEL may have died on 21 Jun 1924 in Big Stone, Minnesota??
I've tried repeatedly to find their death info and burial site with no success. Sorry that's all I know, other than they were the parents of no less than 13 children.

Thank you very much for the transfer, Mary!

Hi Mary, thank you very much for creating a memorial for Laura. I am a first cousin once removed from Laura and have posted some photos of her family on her memorial. Would you please transfer her memorial to me? Thank you, Gale
|Linda||Winifred Whitelaw Banks (#124641337)|
The stone gives her name as Winifred B. Whitelaw Banks. The cemetery records say M Winnifred Banks. Cemetery lists a death date of January 20, but the death certificate says January 23.
