I have been researching my family for many years. I also work with those in my community to preserve & celebrate the people & events in Commerce Twp., Oakland County, Michigan. My Holmes family was among the first land owners in the country. They came from Holmesville, New York in 1835.

My Drake, Retallick, Hatfield & Morris family roots are deep in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. Much of these family are also early pioneers of that area dating back to 1800.

I always enjoy hearing from other historians, we all part of our own history. Remember "Today's Events Are Tomorrow's History" so we are all historians.
