Bio Photo Retired, age 71, live in Liberty, Clay Co., Missouri

Do Clay County Missouri work as time permits.

All photos taken by me are free, while I hold the copyright I give the pictures to any one who wants them for whatever use they deem appropriate.

Quoting another FAG contributor and agreeing.

"I think it is a real shame what FindAGrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers and enter the memorial first!! What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.
With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them".
Or a game of getting back at others, as well, instead of trying to work with one another, you chose to work against each other. If only we could all start from scratch and just get along think how wonderful this site would be?

Okay I see that he has a memorial page so I added the picture. Thank you for catching that mistake.
Have a great holiday weekend

Ooops Sorry for that. Do you want to make a memorial for Jesse Pitts? I do not see one and he is buried right below them so I assume he is relation.

Wow, what a massive undertaking (no pun intended)! I've done that at a much smaller level on a couple of old sections at Eagle Point. Few of the markers have site numbers and I just hated getting a request for those sections because you end up having to walk the whole thing. Fortunately, as I said, they're small -- less than 100 -- but it meant taking an inventory first, then going back to see who actually needed photos and, in come cases, memorial pages. I got involved in this last summer when a wonderful volunteer in Chicago responded to a request for a photo of my uncle's headstone. He died in 1957 and none of his siblings had ever seen his marker. Just my way of paying back.

No problem at all. It's something my sister, who's also involved in volunteer photos, taught me to do. Saves time down the road and really takes no extra time.

You're welcome. If memory serves me correctly, his wife's name is Ida and I also add her phot to her memorial page.

So we have something in common. :)

I can say I was very pleasantly surprised to actually find her headstone. Of a recorded 51 burials in the cemetery there were only 5 remaining headstones.

The headstone is knocked off its base and not very legible. I have another photo on my camera that might be more legible. I will check and let you know.

Mary is my husband's 3x great-grandfather's (Ezekiel Henry) daughter.

Bogart and Cave Families
John,

I've just recently added the Bogart and Cave families to my on-gong research.

I've noticed you have several memorials that I SO appreciate finding. I hope you won't mind that I posted a pic of Carl Bogart and his wife Illene; as well as a few death certificates I've found.

I've read some of your posts and I echo your sentiments, and I REALLY appreciate the fact that you allow the free use of your gravestone pics.

What a generous soul you are.

THANKS for all you do/have done for FIND A GRAVE.
It is truly APPRECIATED.
