Do Clay County Missouri work as time permits.

All photos taken by me are free, while I hold the copyright I give the pictures to any one who wants them for whatever use they deem appropriate.

Quoting another FAG contributor and agreeing.

"I think it is a real shame what FindAGrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers and enter the memorial first!! What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.
With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them".
Or a game of getting back at others, as well, instead of trying to work with one another, you chose to work against each other. If only we could all start from scratch and just get along think how wonderful this site would be?

RE: Willie Pitts
You are welcome. I also just uploaded Ronald and Augustus pictures which I took yesterday but didn't have time to upload. Out of curiosity, what are you doing with your Pitts family research?

RE: seven members of Stalnaker family
I know what you mean. Pescosolido, my maiden name is very rare, although. My ancestors are in Italy. My Grandpa immigrated in 1913 at the age of 15. I do not know much before him. Just names and no dates. There is a language and distance in miles issue with finding out things.

It would be quite a job. There are many Jacob, Hamilton, Catharines, etc. To name a few first names. Knowing the birth-death dates may help.

The Hamilton Stalnaker I am relatedoing to was born 1815 and died in 1892. I find many families using the same first names down through the families. It is hard for knowing which is which.

I'm sure there is relation. My 3x grandfather was also a Hamilton although his wife is Mary.

RE: seven members of Stalnaker family
I had some help. One of our fellow contibutors went there with me. To get to the cemetery we parked the car at the end of a small lane. Then wading a 10 foot wide creek about a foot deep and then walked a quarter mile through a couple fields and then up a steep hill. The cemetery is on top of the hill and is overgrown. So sad.

By the way I am from very flat land in Ohio so I had to adapt to the mountains. I descend from the Stalnaker's also. It was a privilege to be there and very happy to help!
