Seek and you will find.
That is the quest for my family.
Raised by my grandmother, there were only so many questions about my family members that she could answer to the best of her knowledge.
Other than my grandmother, the main people in my life were, an uncle (my mothers brother),and great aunts and uncles, (my grandmother's brothers and sister).
I had an ailing mother that wanted to, but could not raise my sister and I. She never liked to talk about anyone other than my father, (whom had passed away when I was four), or her mother, and brother. Even my uncle and great aunt's and uncle's seemed to be so damned secretive about everything.
At a young confused age, it was difficult to sift through the stack of common names that I had heard, to fully understand any of my father's or mother's family.
Not knowing how to reach anyone, to my regret many have passed away and I had missed the chance of filling in any of the blanks that were unanswered. " Who knows if they would have wanted to talk ".
Now I can thank the Internet, Find A Grave and all you contributors, including living family that I have found, for making it easier.
I am going to continue looking and connecting the dots until one day my name appears in the long line of people that had once existed and were loved.

Sincerely,
James M.
