research Other than Ancetree, which has a fee. I haven't seen much info even on that site from Virginia. Seems like some states don't provide as much info as others. Curious to know how much you discovered on the site I gave you. I'm happy that I was of some help in your research. Do you live in West Virginia? I can tell you where there is a place to go that may have some interesting research if you are in Logan WV. What are the surnames in this area your interested in? My mother is 91 years young and her memory is fantastic. She was a nurse and came in contact with many people. Wish I had a interest in writing her stories when I was younger, especially before my father passed away. Now that part is no longer available to me.
How to find death certificate The web site is WV ARCHIVES, go to the top of the page to history and preservation. Scroll down to marriages, births deaths. Then type in name of person searching for. Try incomplete spelling in case mis-spelled. example: Def*io. Place the aster disk where the spelling may be difffernt. As this is the situation sometimes. Hope this is useful in your search.
Ida Muir Just took this picture - the stone is mostly illegible, but it's definitely the right one. She's listed as Row: 17 ; Grave: 2 and based on the stones next to her, this was the correct one. Also, even though it doesn't come through very well in the picture I could make out some of the letters in the name - enough to verify that this was correct.
