In February 2009 my husband & I lost our daughter (Diana), capping a decade that seemed to be full of loss including my brother-in-law in 2000 and both parents in 2001. The events of 9/11/2001 helped to put our losses that year in perspective. In October of 2011, our youngest daughter, Crissy happened upon Findagrave and found Diana's memorial.|
After losing my husband's brother to cancer in December, 2011 & the unexpected death of a beloved sister-in-law January 29, 2012, we became interested in our family histories which led us back to Findagrave. I have begun to try to find family members in Findagrave and armed with a fistful of obituaries, death certificates and funeral cards I have started to add family members. I hope to add non-family members as I visit the cemeteries. If you happen on a family member of yours that I have added, or if you are a closer family member than I, please feel free to contact me to transfer the memorial to you. You will have to join Findagrave if you haven't already, but it is free and easy to sign up.
God has blessed me with a loving family with my husband, four children (including Diana), twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson. I also have a wonderful loving extended family. I have two sisters and three brothers of whom I am the oldest.
My families are Wilde, Engle, Adams, Polivick, Crabtree, Goin, Heard, Gupton and Wheatley at this time .
I've recently been going through Barlow Cemetery in BALLARD COUNTY KENTUCKY CEMETERIES VOLUME II published by the Ballard-Carlisle Historical and Genealogical Society and adding names to Find-A-Grave. I kept finding family members there, so just started adding names in order from the book. Hopefully this will help others in their research, too. I try really hard to be accurate, but I'm sure I make mistakes. If anybody finds an error, an inadvertent duplicate entry or has more information I would be very pleased to hear from you. I also would be happy to transfer memorials to family members.

And thank you for approving them so quickly. Just found Laura (Bryant) Compton's obit today and that led me to a lot of new info I didn't previously have. After I added Laura and Calvert, I found their daughters and wanted to link them. Thanks again.

This cemetery was read in the 1980s and published by the Hickman County, Kentucky Historical Society. Susie E Frey is listed is Book I, Page 110. I added her complete name and linked her to her husband.
Thanks so much for the transfer of Martha Logsdon and the addition of some of her children!

What a fun surprise, Linda, to find that you had transferred four memorials to my care. That was very kind of you and rest assured, I will take good care of them. Hope you and your family have a blessed Easter.

There MUST be a connection. My Bone ancestors were from White County, TN. Thanks

I've added the links you requested. Do you know if she or her father, Benjamin Franklin Bone, were related to the Bone's in this cemetery? My GGGrandfather is Elijah James Bone whose family also was originally from TN. Thanks
