Hi,

I went ahead and deleted the memorial that I had made because yours has all of the information on it. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

RE: Sarah Myers Finney birth
The information on Sarah Finney's memorial is as it was recorded in the 1981 book "Tuscarawas County, Ohio Cemeteries, Vol. I: Auburn, Bucks, Franklin, Sugarcreek & Wayne Townships".

Hardscrabble Cemetery was likely deserted for over 75 years before it was restored in 2000, so many stones did not age well (hard to say what they were dealing with when it was recorded in 1981). It's on private property (on an Amish farm), but I visited it in July when the caretaker invited me because of a local history project I was working on. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to focus much on the cemetery, and didn't photograph all the headstones. I don't appear to have one of Sarah's. I hope to go back when it warms up this year and photograph the rest.

NO, I'm not related, but someone who was a very special part of my family is related. I did the research and memorials for him. Did not have much on the Roundtree, but several years ago someone sent me a packet of info. I have it packed away but can pull it after the holidays

RE: Mary Hays Beatty
I am thrilled to have found it for you!!! I know what it feels like. Plus, my mother's family is connected to the Beatty family, through Elizabeth Pyle Jones (b. 1909 Youngstown, OH, d. 1987 Westfall Township, PA), who married David Percy Beatty (b. 1907 Crafton, Allegheny, PA, d. 1989 Cape Coral, Lee County, FL; son of Percy D. & Margaret Kenning Beatty). My mother was 2nd cousin to Elizabeth Pyle Jones.

I snap photos of every Beatty headstone I find.

Hi! Let me know if I added the correct father. I also added his mother. From what I could gather: when Emma's mother died in 1925, she was using her maiden name. When her brother died in 1936, she was Emma Johnson. In both the 1930 & 1940 Census, she's living with her sister Elsie's family with her maiden name. When sister Elsie died in 1979, she's back to her maiden name.

RE: Oak Hill Cemetery burials
This should help you out nicely; the database doesn't work as smoothly as others might, but you get the plot info. There's also a database for Locust Hill too. --bob
