Thank you so very much to any contributor that adds information, corrections, etc to any of the memorials we manage or create.

PLEASE make ALL corrections and transfer requests via the edit tab on the memorial.

Please understand that we will NOT link to a Burial Unknown. We gladly will link when the actual grave site is located.

Per the Find A Grave guidelines Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition.

Location of body unknown should only be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not yet known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days. Using "Non-Cemetery Burial" for those that died during a battle/war is the same as a Burial Unknown unless you have information on the final actual disposition of the body and include that information on the memorial.

Per Find A Grave guidelines memorials should never be made until you know where an individual is buried or what the actual disposition of the body was. Find A Grave isn't a genealogy site for linking all known members of a family together. It's a place where people can come to FIND a GRAVE. So creating memorials that don't accomplish that goal really kind of defeats the purpose of the site.

We are photo volunteers. When we take a photo of a final resting place we do so out of a sense of caring and gratitude to those who have gone before us. When we create a memorial for an individual it is to pay homage to the life of that person. There is no disrespect intended.
We have a difficult time getting to those cemeteries where our loved ones are buried. We find great comfort in at least being able to visit those we love and cherish even if it is virtual on the internet. We hope to be able to provide the same to others.
If any of our memorials offend or simply cause you discomfort or disquiet (everyone grieves and believes differently), please contact us.

We have a fairly liberal transfer policy. We just ask that if you can no longer maintain the memorial that you send it back or transfer to someone who has the time.

We work hard to be as accurate as possible, but we are only human. If you see and error, a duplicate, etc. please send us a friendly note and we will get it taken care of as quickly as possible. Please keep in mind that life can get in the way sometimes and it may take a while to take care of an issue. Feel free to message us again if you think we may have missed it or it was lost.

If you would like originals of any of the photos we have posted here at Find A Grave please email us and let us know. If we have them and can find them we would be happy to share.
