I am reading your memorial on MaryJane…I learned from this, her parents, her young age at first marriage (16), cause of death, residence….
it's amazing what you do…I am impressed and so grateful.

Yes, please…especially since I don't know much about Mary Hurley, (David's wife #2) His Ireland wife was Mary Nolan - they had TEN
children! She died in Ireland. Three of his sons eventually joined David in America/Omaha…Joseph, Peter and Patrick (my grandfather).

David's obit read as if he had just the three sons which puzzled me. Wife #2 must have known the details of his Ireland family.

By the time I began researching ancestry, everyone who had the details had passed….I'm sure you hear that all day long.

Thank you so much Scott, for posting the information
of my great grandfather, David Doyle. I was thrilled to
see it and am very grateful.

I have requested a photo of the actual headstone and hope
to hear back from someone. I am in New Jersey without
hope of visiting Omaha.

I have a nice photo of David. If I figure out how to transmit
it, it might look nice on your memorial page.

Best regards,

Carole J. Doyle

RE: Morris Hanafan
Thank you Scott. Hard work to determine the correct name, isn't it? I've not run across the surname Lucid as an Irish surname...

I'll continue to research and let you know if I find anything different. Protocol seems to be the majority listings, so it seems.

Thank you , again!

Morris Hanafan
Hello Scott,
I was researching Catherine (Katie) Hannifan (sp. according to LDS records), who married Orange Allen/Allan Minkler Sep 1878 in Omaha, NE. I found this couple in an 1880 census, living nextdoor to or with your Morris Hanafan (Find A Grave Memorial# 100311651) and wife Johanna Lewis. He and his family were all born in Ireland. I suspect that my Catherine (Katie) is another daughter of Morris & Johanna. She and Orange Minkler moved to Perth Amboy New Jersey, where they died. Their subsequent census records show Katie as being born in NE, but, I believe that the 1880 census, which says Ireland to be closer to the truth. Most of their children were born in Nebraska, but, one, Clara, who was born in Council Bluffs, IA. I know it's a guess, but, I believe it to be a pretty good one.
Let me know what you think, please.
They are very far removed in my tree...but, I keep on going.

That would be great! I am a grandson. I am the son of Gerald J. Coyle. I linked all of the family of Eugene Coyle on Finda-a-grave.
