Bio

I've been at this FindaGrave biz for quite a while.
I used to put my cemetery pix on a competing website a while back and (gasp!) found that people would actually copy my pix, claim 'em as their own and put 'em on THIS website.
Mixed emotions about that.
I did the work, they get the credit.
I've been dubbed the Official 'DirkTracy' of the Selfridge Family for the past several years, back
when I had the stamina (and free phone access) to work into the wee hours, foraging the internet, tramping distant cemeteries, looking for seldom-known facts and figures of our family, bothering far-flung librarians, elderly historians, village clerks, newspaper archivists, and other irritable sorts, squeezing info and numbers from them and by now, I think I've gathered enough information to publish it.
But I owe most of the credit to cousins Hank Selfridge of Tucson, AZ, Historian and Librarian Anna B. Selfridge, Lima, OH and NJ Professor at Princeton Jennifer MacLeod, grand-dotter of Harry Gordon Selfridge of London for supplying me with stuff to work with and pointing out my
little 'typos' and the like. I'm sick of 'drive-by' cemetery-shooters that take a picture of the gate, headstones, guess the contents' vitals and never respond to my corrections. It's MY FAMILY, folks !
Get with it.
I'm old, tired and re-tired.
Whatever information you might need about the
Selfridge name, ask and I'll see what I can scare up for you. I've got PA, MI, KS, WA and CA connections to tap for info, if needed.
I used to "snow-bird" 'twixt FL & NY, but since my brain is trying to stroke me to death, I've 'sold the farm' up north and take no more photo requests. I'm gettin' too dam old for cemetery stompin' anymore.

I'm still sickentired of people 'grabbing my stuff' about me and my photos but what the hell..... I guess my ego doesn't match that of my 'grabbers'... I'm now crutch-bound but still active in the OnLine digging department and still finding facts instead of fiction..
