Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy since 2004. I am retired and live in Gambrills, Maryland. My main genealogy interests are in Western Maryland and S. Central Pennsylvania. My wife is also involved in her genealogy in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. We visit cemeteries to find our ancestors' stones and markers. I enjoy photographing the monuments.

Main families of interest are Minnich (Minich), Keefauver, Lemen, Harsh and Stone, Craig, Lydic, and Buterbaugh. Others are Johnston, Swonger, Lloyd, and Miner.

If I have made a duplicate, please contact me and it will be deleted quickly. Use edit button to add corrections. Also, since only five free photo spots per memorial are allowed in findagrave, please do not add unnecessary photos to any memorials. Save room for future personal photos from family. Unnecessary photos include close-up photos of the plot number on markers and the cemetery plot signs. The plot number should be entered in the Bio plot section of the memorial not as a picture. Obituaries should be typed in the Bio sect and not added as photos. Transfers may be made if you ask using the EDIT button and also state relationship. You have my permission to use my grave stone / marker photos for your private use. For any use of my family or my rescue-orphan photos please contact me. Hopefully, you will source or link the photos. It never hurts to give someone credit for helping you.

I have been purchasing "orphan-rescue" antique photos with names sufficient to search and find a 'home' for them. Some success has been had. There are photo albums of Hellyers (Seneca F., etc. - PA) and Hopkins (Arthur, Lewis, etc.) that are awaiting family. Please visit my Rescue-Orphans Virtual Cemetery.

A free site to check certain years of Maryland State Archives for death certificate index is

This site is a hodge-podge but you can search Baltimore city and the counties for individuals. It has just name and death date and whether death was in Baltimore City or a county. Sometimes the counties have age. Good Luck. I have been using this to upgrade entries in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

I will try to be a friend to all and will help where possible.

Findagrave is as good as we make it.

RE: Ginnelley pictures
Hi Mike.. Thank you for your time and willingness to help me.. Actually my primary Ancestry interest at this stage of my research has been with the Stover family and occasionally I run across names and things that lead me to other extended branches of this family.. So during the course of my research on Henry William Stover and his son Dr. Warren Stover I kept encountering the other names of Hellyer and Ginnelley and I was curious as to how they fit into my tree.. The Hellyer name was already familiar to me as well as the New Jersey branch of my Stover/Shimer ancestors.. but Ginnelley was a name that I hadn't yet come across.. well to make a long story short.. as I mentioned before I have all these old photos that I inherited that I've been trying to put names with.. and the newspaper articles regarding Dr. Ginnelley and the Trenton gun tournaments instantly made me think of this one photo in particular that I have of the 3 men posing with their guns and a trophy.. So whether or not there is an actual family connection between the Stover's & Ginnelleys I'm not sure yet.. My first thought was to see if any of the men in my trophy picture happened to be him..

Again, thank you so much.. I truly appreciate your time... now I'm going to go check out your newly posted photos you mentioned to see if I recognize any of them.

RE: Hellyers - Ginnelly photos
Thank you for responding.. and while your list of names was most welcome.. I have old photos that don't have any names on this is where comparison of pics can help me in naming these folks..

I came across memorials for Dr. Ginnelley and his wife Mabel.. but the only photos posted were of the grave marker and headstone.. Would you be so kind as to post photos to their memorials for me?? Dr.'s memorial number is #59248482 and his wife Mabel's is #59248483

I think I may have a photo of Dr. Ginnelley myself.. it is of 3 men posing with a trophy and their guns.. I had always assumed it was a photo of some sort of a shooting tournament and after further research this past weekend, I found several articles in the old Trenton newspapers regarding Dr. Ginnelley and these sharp shooter tourneys.. so maybe this un-named photo I have is of him but until I have something to compare it to, I'm at a loss as to who the men in this photo could be. Any help you can provide is truly appreciated..
