Bio and Links
I started my genealogy hobby in earnest Jan 2011. Most of my relatives on my father's side are from Pennsylvania and on my mother's side from Ohio and Michigan. I am willing to share any info and take pictures of headstones.

Sarah Hallock.
Hi Rodger, Thanks for the obituary.
I think I will leave the nckname on as it may help someone to ID her as Susan, as that was the name used in the obituary at the museum, so she must have used it more than her given name.?
Information posted.
RE: Grace:
Hopefully you can just copy and paste this obituary into her bio section. I am also going to suggest eliminating her nickname of Susan and editing her birth info. Thanks.

Albert married Jessie on Jan 27, 1903 in Monroe, Monroe, Michigan. His mother Christina's maiden name was Brookman. Thanks.

Thanks, Rodger, for that correction. I've replaced the name of his parents. Good luck in your search.

I think you may have some information confused in your request. You asked for the birthdate to be Feb 16, 1880, then asked for a note to be added saying the Michigan, Death Certificate says 1921-1952. This looks like maybe there was a child that had the same name.

"Please edit his middle name to George, birth to Feb 16, 1880, Genesee county, Michigan, death to Oct 27, 1938, Frederic, Crawford, Michigan, link his wife Bertha #113096193, in bio section Married Bertha E Fry on Feb 12, 1907 in Flint, Genesee, Michigan, and in bio or notes indicate there is a conflict with birth year on headstone versus "Michigan, Death Certificates, 1921-1952". Thanks."

If you are related and would like these memorials transfered to you please let me know.

THANK YOU.
Just wanted to thank you for all of the updates you have sent......every little bit of information on a memorial can make a big difference to someone looking for their relative.

I do appreciate you taking the time to send added info.

Have a wonderful day.

One must remember that the info on her death certificate would have been provided by a family member, same for the info provided for the headstone maker.

On the 1900 census she gave her birth as Aug 1849, she was listed as age 31 on the 1880 census. She was listed as age 1 on the 1850 census taken in Oct of 1850.

Israel Bird
Hello. I've made your suggested changes and links for Israel Bird. You mentioned perhaps going to the cemetery to try to get a better picture using your flour technique. Find A Grave prohibits the use of flour or other substances on a marker in the following section of the FAQ's.

"Never apply bleach, ammonia, shaving cream, chalk, flour, baking soda, cornstarch, firm pressure or use anything abrasive. Do not post photos of recently chalked or shaving-creamed headstones."

Just thought I'd let you know in case you were unaware of this. Thanks.
